yes, you can have nice things {toddler spot removal}

I’m sharing how I battle mystery toddler stains on my nice things as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #ZepSocialstars

I poured spot remover on my dog.  Now he’s gone.  Stephen Wright.

When one becomes a parent, nothing is much more important than your stain removal skills, which you have the opportunity to hone over and over and over again, thanks to your children.  I’m also going to put it out there that my husband spills e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g as well so I can’t only blame the kids.  Naturally, my rug shampooer has become one of my closest friends over the years, though she is such a pain to pull out and maneuver.  I haven’t had too much success with spot removal products in the past so I was intrigued to try Zep Instant Spot Remover Towels — yes, towels!

I couldn’t begin to count the amount of times I or my husband has said “this is why we can’t have nice things” since having kids.  There is an internal battle every time I consider purchasing something on the pricier end that will be displayed within kid reach.  I know the chance of that item being ruined within the first week of its life here in the Husvar house.  Gabriel would be the biggest offender, our 2 year old who is quite always covered in something.

One of my favorite pieces of furniture is a bench that sits at the base of our bed.  It also has a matching chair but the poor bench is always in the line of fire.  Gabriel uses it to get up onto our bed, usually sliding his banana-covered face across the bench… leaving behind God knows what.

Like what IS that?!  I *hope* it is banana.

This bench has certainly grown dingy over the past couple of months and some noticeable food and drink droppings have appeared.  I’m always afraid of setting stains further, so I have avoided washing the bench altogether.  These Zep Instant Spot Remover Towels seemed less scary though as they are not overly wet.  The texture is lightly rough to give you scrubbing power without compromising the integrity of your fabrics and rugs.  Let’s just give it a go…

With very light scrubbing, I was able to remove all of the stains, dried food (?) and the over-all dinginess.  Like lightning fast!! These towels are also effective on oil, food, pet stains, grease, tar and more.  I can’t wait to put them to the test with oil stains – those are the worst!  The dual-texture towels actually dissolve and absorb the stains – and they stay moist inside the convenient canister.  Make sure you bring these along on your next road trip!

Purchase Zep Instant Spot Remover Towels at Home Depot for $8.97 so you CAN have nice things and toddlers.

    However, microwave as essential catering equipment is not far
    behind along with pasta boilers, soup kettles, rotisseries and toasters.

    These courses are designed to focus on one particular aspect of
    your game in most cases, so for instance you may take one course on putting and another on the
    drive. These are unlikely to suffer any buggy performance.
