Yacht Week in Croatia {Priti NYC Fall 2012}

Priti NYC Fall 2012 Fall holds my favorite nail colors and this year does not disappoint.  With classic nudes and seasonal moody shades ruling the collections, there is a polsih for every skin tone and style.  Priti NYC, a wonderful 3 free and non-toxic nail polish company, has surpassed my expectations for fall with Yacht Week in Croatia, the brand spankin’ new collection.

Yacht Week in Croatia is a collection of four fall colors that compliment each other so well.  These beauties invoke memories of a glamorous getaway, a rejuvenating holiday somewhere gorgeous .  They are colors that can take you from a relaxing day sailing straight into a glitzy night of decadence.  All inspired by the shores of Croatia, this collection is truly one to be noticed.  Painter’s Palette, a maroon with brownish undertones, is sure to be a go-to this fall.  The deep, rich color is full of class and I could see it working from the red carpet to the laundry room.  Irish Molly is best described as a rusty latte… or at least to me.  It has the autumn versatility of a brown or tan but with a little more oomph.

If you are going to twist my arm, I’ll give you my two favorites from the collection, stunning Stonecrop and Sea Holly.  Stonecrop was the first to draw my eye in this new collection with its bright yet light green shade.  From the original press release, I feared Stonecrop may be a little neon, which I’m personally hoping to leave in summer.  But, once I saw the bottle in person I knew this leafy beauty was shades away from such.  On, Stonecrop is a lively color that brings a touch of brightness, especially when paired with drabber outfits of the season.

My runner-up (and maybe too close to really compare) is Sea Holly, a deep teal.  Deep teal is one of my top favorite autumn colors (alongside forest and deep emerald greens) so this one was love at first sight.  It too looked deeper in person than the media photo you see to the right.  Perfection is Sea Holly and it has moved to the very top of my rotation.

I mentioned that Priti is 3 free and non-toxic before, and they even have a line just for kids which I also mentioned before.  This fact means that my daughter is allowed access to these polishes, so when they arrived she joined in on the review process.  The older she gets, the more I take her opinions into consideration during my ITKM reviews so I asked her what she thought of Stonecrop (the polish she chose).  She described the polish as green apple and lettuce to which I thought was rather spot-on.  The polish goes on easily and covers well after two coats, even the lighter Stonecrop.  I’ve had Sea Holly on for the last 4 days and I’m still chip free, so I’m saying it has lasting power as well.
