Safe Haven {Valentine’s Day movie} + Giveaway

The best romantic films are often released on Valentine’s Day and this year it is Safe Haven, a film by best-selling author Nicholas Sparks.  You may remember him from a little known film called The Notebook — a rarity in the romantic genre as it is a cult classic and mainstream hit.  Sparks came back with Dear John and now another bound-to-be-a-hit, Safe Haven.

Safe Haven

“An affirming and suspenseful story about a young woman’s struggle to love again, Safe Haven is based on the novel from Nicholas Sparks, the best-selling author behind the hit films The Notebook and Dear John. When a mysterious young woman arrives in a small North Carolina town, her reluctance to join the tight knit community raises questions about her past. Slowly, she begins putting down roots, and gains the courage to start a relationship with Alex, a widowed store owner with two young children. But dark secrets intrude on her new life with such terror that she is forced to rediscover the meaning of sacrifice and rely on the power of love in this deeply moving romantic thriller.”

Starring Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough, this is the perfect Valentine’s Day date movie to drag treat your husband or significant other to.  Nicholas Sparks generally has a knack for roping in men as well as women, another rarity in the romance genre, so anyone who enjoys a good love story will be happy they checked this one out (even a hesitant husband).

Perfect for your date night, win a movie prize pack containing:

  • $25 Visa Gift Card for a day at the movies·
  • Copy of the book (paperback, movie tie-in edition)
