revolutionary BioAffinity toners {Pai Skincare}

My love affair with Pai began with a simple yet complex moisturizer.   This moisturizer changed my life (at least in skincare).  Prior to meeting Pai, I was a sensitive-skinned skincare junkie that was often irritated and agitated.  Once I ditched my old facial moisturizer and switched to Pai’s Chamomile & Rosehip Skin Cream, I instantly noticed a difference.  Not only did my skin soak up the moisture, but it lost any redness it once had.  The miracle cream actually soothed my sensitive skin into a sublime state of saturation.

You can imagine my hesitation with toners due to the nature of my sensitive skin.  They can be very harsh, and in the past I have just endured them, thinking the pros outweighed the cons.  But the red flush was back and not even Pai’s moisturizer could save me now.  That was until Pai’s revolutionary BioAffinity toners came around–Lotus & Orange Blossom and Rice Plant & Rosemary to be exact.   First off, I love spray toners.  One might say that I am addicted to them, and one would be right.  There is something about closing my eyes and lightly spritzing cool herbal goodness onto my face that brightens my day.  So to the ingredients we go.  What you won’t find are alcohols or detergents that strip the skin of natural oils.  This only leads to dry, irritated skin.   No, Pai’s BioAffinity toners will in fact tone your skin, but simultaneously hydrate and soothe normal or sensitive skin.  That is the beauty of Pai: all skin types are welcome.   The Rice Plant & Rosemary formulation caters more to combination skin, so I went with the Lotus & Orange Blossom–my parched skin savior.

The Lotus & Orange Blossom BioAffinity Toner is now a staple in my daily regimen.   It contains pure “living waters” extracted directly from the plants used.  Once I heard of these “living waters” I was dying to know more.  Pai tells us: “Plants are naturally rich in a multitude of hydro-soluble compounds. The waters circulating within them absorb important nutrients from the earth, and inherit a unique combination of amino acids, vitamins and trace mineral elements.  These ‘living waters’ have the exact pH and resistivity balance of healthy skin, giving unparalleled skin affinity while improving skin tone and texture.”  The tonics that Pai has formulated use  these vitamin and mineral rich ingredients to tone, hydrate, and soothe skin, while also protect from free-radical damage.

The lotus is a powerful antioxidant that specializes in just that, protection from free-radical damage.   Free radicals are produced by your body, and are quite necessary for certain functions.  However, when too many are produced (due to sun exposure, cigarette smoke, exhausts/fumes, and more) they can be extremely damaging.  They absolutely ravage the skin by destroying collagen and reduce the amount of oxygen to you cells.  Antioxidants are considered “free radical scavengers”  and destroy free radicals.  I’ll leave the science to your googling; you get the gist.  So, lotus.  It is an antioxidant; and it has the unique property of inhibiting the release of cutaneous neuropeptides, the molecules that cause our skin to flare, making it ideal for calming and soothing reactive (aka sensitive) skin.

The orange blossom (neroli) is extracted from bitter orange flowers.  Neroli stimulates circulation and skin cell regeneration, which will give you luminous, fresh looking skin.   This is the ingredient that will tone your skin, all while having a brightening effect that we moms can all use, am I right?  Amazingly, Neroli also has healing properties that can minimize and improve the appearance of thread veins and scars.  wow.  The “everything else” in this fab concoction is: lotus water, aloe vera, orange blossom water, vegetable glycerine, aspen bark extract, radish root extract… 100% natural ingredients from natural origins.

Moms of the world with stressed out skin, treat yourself and purchase Pai Skincare products, the ultimate authority on natural, skin-soothing products.
