a bossy portable swing {Comfort & Harmony}

Life with a newborn in my house generally consists of moving baby boy around from thing to thing, desperately seeking his contentment.  He has such a small window before he grows tired of things.  10 minutes in the bouncer, 5 on the playmat, 5 on the other playmat, 10 in the bassinet, 15 in the sling… I bet you’ve caught onto the cycle now.  Making record times up to 30 minutes awake, and TWO hours asleep, is the Comfort & Harmony Portable Swing.  *bows in gratitude*

Comfort & Harmony Portable Swing review

I have to admit that my two month old son didn’t take to the swing immediately.  It was the first of its kind he had ever experienced and perhaps it required an adjustment period.  The first few tries his eyes opened wide, eyebrows arched and then suddenly his face cringed, turning bright tomato red and he cried.  But I didn’t give up there.

With each new ride in the portable baby swing he lasted longer and longer.  A couple days had passed when we popped him in the seat, feeling hopeful, my husband and I just staring with bated breath.  swing.  swing.  swing. Suddenly, big smiles accompanied by long coos of contentment came pouring out of our son.  Victory!  Our unrelenting (stubborn) nature had paid off.

The Comfort & Harmony Portable Swing is so great on so many levels.  In an effort to catch all readers (including ones in a hurry) see my pro list below:

  • portable. lightweight. easily folded and stored.
  • soft. bunny fur soft.
  • comfortable. cradles. supports. 2 position recline.
  • 5 point safety harness.  infant support pillow.
  • attractive. neutral. friendly toys.
  • pleasant music. 6 melodies. volume control.
  • 6 swing speeds. timer.
  • machine washable.  ’nuff said.

Everything about the Comfort & Harmony Portable Swing screams “I will adjust to your needs!” First, its portable, which means it can be in plain sight…or not. It doesn’t have to be a permanent fixture in your living room and I appreciate that.  It folds easily and compactly, allowing you to tuck it away about anywhere. In order to enjoy this beautiful Southern California weather, this swing has to come with us as we spread outside.  No big deal because it is so lightweight!

The seat itself is adjustable with its two position recline and control panel.  Here you can set the swing’s speed with the turn of a dial, six levels in total.  The music is also controlled here, featuring volume levels for six melodies.  Then there is the timer button.  This button offers you a way to set a shut off at 15, 30 or 45 minutes.

I’ve noticed my son judges his gear based on the creatures that hang above him.  I know for a fact that the two on this swing are what initially won him over.  It you saw how his eyes brightened and mouth curled up at the sight of them, you’d know it too.

Function is high here in the Comfort & Harmony Swing.  The swinging goes from a very gentle rock to a pretty bossy swing, with every stop in between.  I am pretty blown away at the power of this portable, traveling swing.  It also features TrueSpeed technology, which ensures the motion remains the same as baby grows.  This is awesome because my baby boy is growing like a weed (97th percentile for height!) and I need gear that can keep up.

With my first babe, my first question was always about battery life.  How many does it take?  How long do they last?  They never lasted long.  In this age of rechargeable batteries, I care less.  But, I do think it is worth mentioning that this swing has a pretty decent battery life as I have not had to replace them yet.  It takes four C batteries and I read battery life is at 96 hours.

This swing is suitable for newborns up to 25 lbs, meaning around 6 months, and at that point they are too busy a-movin’ and a-shakin’ for a swing.  Perfecto.  Oh!  I forgot one other pro — the price!  The Comfort & Harmony Portable Swing retails for $59.99, a more than reasonable price for the quality.  This particular swing is only available at

I would love to get The Comfort & Harmony Portable Swing for so many reasons, but mainly because we are going to moving around quite a bit during the first three months of our baby’s life and it would be good to have such a portable and functional swing.

In this great scheme of things you’ll secure an A for hard work. Where you actually confused me was on your details. You know, as the maxim goes, details make or break the argument.. And that couldn’t be more accurate right here. Having said that, permit me inform you exactly what did deliver the results. Your text can be incredibly powerful which is most likely the reason why I am taking the effort in order to comment. I do not make it a regular habit of doing that. Next, while I can certainly notice the jumps in reasoning you make, I am not really convinced of how you seem to unite the points which inturn help to make your conclusion. For now I shall yield to your point however hope in the foreseeable future you connect the dots much better.

I do agree with all of the ideas you’ve presented in your post. They are very convincing and will certainly work. Still, the posts are too short for beginners. Could you please extend them a bit from next time? Thanks for the post.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
