Green and Educational Christmas Toys {PlanToys}

For the past six years now, PlanToys has been one of my top favorite toy manufacturers. I’m a sucker for wooden toys. They’re green, cute and I like to picture my future grandchildren playing with the same toys their mom’s played with as kids. For over 30 years, PlanToys has been recycling the wood from expired rubber wood trees to create their beautiful wooden toys. One of my favorite things is that the toys truly spark creativity within your kids. I purchased a few of their kitchen pieces several years ago and my kids beat them up (literally), but they are still in amazing shape.

Plan Toys Bowling

This year, two of PlanToys items will be making their way under my tree for my 17 month old. First is Monkey Bowling. My six year old is currently in a Bowling Club at her school. This means that every Monday, she goes bowling after school. I take my little one with me when I pick her up after bowling is over. My toddler is completely mesmerized by what she sees when we walk through those bowling alley doors. What’s fun is that my 17 month old is finally at the age where she can do fun stuff with her older sister and tries very hard to copy her. This Monkey Bowling set is PERFECT for them to play together. Two of the Monkey pins are slightly larger than the other three, which helps in knocking the other pins down. Not only will this promote social skills for your child, because they will want someone else to play with them, but it also helps with gross motor. They will use their large muscles to try and control where the ball goes and then promotes logic by helping them think through where they need to throw the ball. Not to mention that you’re teaching them that physical activity is fun! This a a wonderful toy that’s extremely well made…and green too!

The second item wrapped up this year is the Alphabet A-Z set. I LOVE THESE! I fell in love with a Memory Game from PlanToys years ago with their animal faces on them. They’re wonderful for travel and games with your kids. But these Alphabet blocks are multi-taskers to say the least. Each of the 26 wooden tiles are double-sided and indented with the capital letters on one side and objects that correlate to the letter on the opposite side. Your children will be able to trace each letter with their finger, which will help them learn their alphabets faster, not to mention their writing skills. The tiles are pretty thick, I placed one on it’s side in my photo so that you can see just how thick they are. Your child will never be able to break these! After looking through them, I found myself building towers with the tiles! You can make roads for your cars, buildings for your little people, the possibilities are endless for their creative minds.

Please remember to buy toys for your children that encourage them to think and be creative. Don’t just get them toys that make loud sounds and do all the work for them. Sometimes the ones that aren’t battery operated, are the best toys for them! We need more engineers in the world, get them building and trying to figure out how things work.

I am truly never disappointed with PlanToys, they exceed all my expectations with the quality of material, durability of toys and their design. Their website is extremely user friendly and even makes suggestions on toys for your children based on their ages. Check out these toys and the other toys they have to offer at their PlanToys Store.
