bottled happiness and finding my bliss {neuro BLISS}

neuro found in a recent study that nearly 50 percent of Americans spend at least half their daily lives stressed out.  Is this you?  It’s me.  Part of the solution is making lifestyle changes that reduce stress and boost bliss.  The other part is finding products that increase mood and bring peace like neuro BLISS.

The first big step I made to finding a blissful life was moving to Palm Springs, CA.  My career kept me in Los Angeles but I was generally unhappy living in the busy city, especially after having kids.  The city is wonderful and I love to be there.  I am grateful for the opportunities it has given me but the traffic alone is enough to drive stress levels through the roof.

My story:

One morning I awoke in a Palm Springs resort… one of those low-key gems with mid-century modern decor, a glistening pool, cabanas and fruit trees, the kind of place you know the Rat Pack frequented.  As I slipped on my robe and went to the french doors, I was overcome with this feeling of peace… like I finally felt at home.  The incredible August heat was overwhelming yet I loved it, and the sweet citrus trees delicately hung fragrance in the air. Just magical.

Nestled in the crook where the desert meets the San Jacinto Mountains, Palm Springs has a signature landscape that is both breathtaking and familiar.  As I gazed at the view before me, a little roadrunner shot past my feet.  This tickled me pink and my then toddler daughter as well.  I turned to my husband and said, “I would be so happy if I could wake up here every morning.”  And so, from then on, I did, even if it meant a 2 hour commute to work.

I find my BLISS moments in the Palm Springs landscape at home with my family. I particularly treasure our nightly walks around the neighborhood…

It’s just life…with a pretty backdrop.

Like I mentioned before, I am always seeking products that will mellow me out in a healthy way.  neuro BLISS, a 35 calorie beverage provides a calming effect and promotes a positive outlook, thanks to the unique combination of helpful ingredients.  It contains chamomile and a powerful blend of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants including L-theanine, an amino acid found in green tea which has been found to reduce stress, produce relaxation and enhance focus.

With products like these, I am always skeptical.  I figured I had nothing to lose and as I cracked open neuro BLISS, I was so pleased with the fruity lychee flavor.  Lychee is my favorite fruit on the planet!  I tried to relax my mind and breathe deeply as I enjoyed neuro BLISS and I did notice a light wave of calm come over me.  The effect reminded me of a very calming tea (hence the chamomile) but with the bright tropical lychee flavor and uplifting light carbonation.  They put me in a better mood — I swear to it!

neuro wants to know what your blissful moment is and is offering up a $10,000 dream vacation to one very lucky entrant.  So grab a few (see where below) and start snapping pictures of you with neuro BLISS in your blissful moment… enter the BLISS and Tell contest.  Easy entry on Instagram with the hashtag #BLISSandTell

    I drink herbal tea to relax in the evening, but I totally need something like this to drink during the daytime.

    I tried this once and wasn’t a huge fan of it. I think it isn’t for everyone but I do suggest trying because you never know if you will like it if you don’t :-)!

    I’m usually skeptical of products like this too but would definitely be willing to give it a try. I could use a dose of calm throughout the day, especially when the kids are fighting for the umpteenth time. lol

    I saw this at Target not to long ago and wondered if I should pick it up! Think I might just do that now!
