nautical and patrotic baby apparel {Mamas & Papas}

The first few months of my second child’s life were spent partially nude.  He had pretty bad reflux and, after changing his clothes 4-5 times a day, we just stopped putting clothes on him.  The cloth diapers were cute to look at anyway.  Now that he is five months old, his reflux is nil and I have no excuse to have a nudey baby every day.  Enter adorable baby clothes from Mamas & Papas.

I have a love affair with Mamas & Papas, adoring every piece of baby gear they create.  Blinded by their stylish strollers and high chairs, I neglected to notice they also offer baby clothes.  When I was approached to review a few items from the apparel line, I was thrilled… and surprised.  Keeping in line with the rest of the brand, the clothes are incredibly well made and good looking..

With a boy in the 100th percentile for height, I’m in the market for 12 months clothing – TWELVE months for my five month old baby boy.  The upside to this is the cuter baby apparel starts at 12 months, or so I thought.  Mamas & Papas proved me wrong because the adorable little boy clothing usually reserved for one year and up, are available in newborn sizes.

The Striped Anchor Tee is my favorite long sleeve my boy owns.  Aesthetically speaking, it’s perfect.  The red, white and blue color scheme compliments pale baby skin.  It’s also perfect for the upcoming Independence Day. The henley style top features stylish buttons, prominent navy stitching and a nautical themed graphic.

More important to my baby, the tee is super soft.  It has a high quality weight yet breathes enough for cooler summer moments.  It gets quite windy here on the wind farm, and at night, quite cool.  This is the tee I grab on these desert summer nights.  Available in sizes from newborn – 2 years, this top sells for $26.99 at Mamas & Papas.

Big fan of ready-to-wear outfits, the Two Piece Polo & Short Set below is another house favorite.  It ends up being a great playdate or visitor outfit.  The classic styles of polo top and cargo shorts is casual and comfy yet put-together.

The elasticized shorts fit my son so well and I can tell they will be around for a minute.  I pair them with plain white tees or the Anchor Tee above as well. The soft jersey polo top features a small cat motif on the bottom side, just the right amount of baby on this adult style outfit.  Purchase this set on Mamas & Papas for $42.99.
