a universal stroller board {Bumprider from Joovy}

Leave it to Joovy to bring you the best looking, most universal stroller board on the market.  Yeah, we get it Joovy, you can do it all! Show offs.  The Bumprider is an innovative product that will transform any stroller you own from lightweight to jogger to handle another passenger (ages 2-5).  To get the stamp of In The Know Mom’s seal, one was sent for review and I tried it on every stroller I own.

There is this somewhat awkward period of time where your older kid is too big for the stroller yet tires out quickly at places like the zoo or aquarium.  It happened for my daughter around the 3 year mark.  She was too independent to ride in the stroller, yet come hour 3 out and about, she was crying to get off her feet.  At this age they also want to separate themselves from their little “baby” siblings.  Hey, if you just have two, now you can put that double stroller away, so three cheers to that.

The Bumprider fits on almost all strollers.  I could only find one that it was not compatible with and that is the Quinny Yazz, which is a pretty odd shape so no surprises there.  But every other I tried, umbrella, mid-size, luxury, jogger… all were easy to attach the Bumprider to.  This is due to the adjustable arms, in length, width and height.

The quick-release clamps make the Bumprider very user-friendly.  It only takes a couple moments to attach to and release from a stroller, which by the way, does zero damage.  The clamps operate much like a zip-tie, at least that is what they remind me of.

The platform itself is a non-slip surface that seems easy for the rider to handle. The Bumprider even comes with a suspension, offering a smoother ride. I like the shape of this stroller board as they really map out where the kids feet should go, which is great for the balancing aspect.  The separated foot shape also encourages kids to not move around on the board, which I appreciate.

When not using the Bumprider, simply attach it to the stroller spine with the included strap.  This is an AWESOME feature, especially for the older kids that may want to ride at times, and walk at times.  You can secure the Bumprider up and out of your way while you keep on strolling.

The Bumprider is intended for kids age 2-5 and up to 44 lbs.  No tools are required and assembly is literally a snap! Purchase the Bumprider from Joovy in either white (pictured) or black and keep in the know by liking Joovy on Facebook.  You never know what is next with Joovy (big things are coming, trust me).

    This looks awesome and I love how much room it has on it! When my son was younger he would always fall off because his feet were too but but this looks like it would have been perfect!

    What a great idea! But for the price,I think i’d just as soon buy a stroller with one built in.

      Just depends on how many strollers you regularly use. I have 5 in constant rotation, depending on our activities, so the one board to fit all would be a very inexpensive investment for me. It may not be right for your family — the Joovy Caboose collection might be perfect for you!
