fevers, diapers and night-time leaks {toddlers}

diapers. I’m sick of them.

We are about to enter the potty training phase, as you will soon see reflected in my upcoming posts, and I couldn’t be happier yet more terrified. Diapers are typically a source of stress for parents as they always need to be changed and half the time they leak, not to mention the dreaded blowout. I am urging my 26 month old boy to potty train asap but… I have a feeling it might be awhile. In the meantime, it’s still diapers.

Through life with my two kids, I have tried most every diaper out there, including my genuine attempt to cloth diaper. Some worked, some failed. My first child, the sweet and calm girl, could wear most any diaper and be fine. My boy though, the wild and rambunctious one, can make just about any diaper leak. Cheaper brands are just not an option with him so I always stick with names I trust like Huggies®. =)

This past week I have been trying out the new Huggies® Snug and Dry Ultra Diapers on Gabriel. He has had on and off again teething fevers this week which has made him quite cantankerous. Since he has been feverish, I’ve been really forcing the fluids on him, trying to keep him as hydrated as possible, even late at night. You can imagine this was the perfect time to test a new diaper for leaks. His little body has been so full of water! I’m happy to report no leaks at all, and no blow-outs despite the icky things a fever can do to a toddler’s poop consistency. Tell me you know what I’m talking about!

Find the new Huggies® Snug & Dry Ultra Diapers at for the ultimate 12 hours of protection, even during the roughest moments! They have a unique quilted liner to lock away wetness better and quick-absorbing layers to keep the most restless sleeper dry. The size 1 and 2 even have an exclusive wetness indicator.
