a long dirty hike through Joshua Tree {Wet-Nap}

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Wet-Nap but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #showusyourmess

I love living in the desert, I really do, but it can get quite dirty, especially with kids. We’re the type of family who likes to get outside so when a very rare rainstorm swept in and brought the temperature down, we headed to Joshua Tree to do a little hiking and camping.  Needless to say, I stocked up on water, sunglasses and Wet-Nap before we headed down the road. joshua tree #showusyourmess #pmedia in_the_know_mom It’s windy here in Palm Springs, which is why my house lies on the perimeter of a wind farm and it kicks up a LOT of sand into the air.  Leave the windows open and you’ll soon see a thick layer of sand and other sediment forming on all things flat.  It’s the nature of the desert, like scorpions and tumbleweeds.

When my family was just but 3 we camped ALL of the time.  Baby Gabriel threw a wrench into that idea with his wild child attitude but I decided it was high time to get back out in the tent.  He’s 18 months now and considerably easier to travel with.  Since it was his first time, I stayed close and kept the trip short. joshua tree california #showusyourmess #pmedia in_the_know_mom Joshua Tree National Park is located on about 800,000 acres in Southern California.  It’s known for its Joshua Trees (from the Yucca family and also a U2 album), climber-friendly rock formations, eclectic desert wildlife and clear skies full of stars (not so clear on this stormy/overcast day though).

When God gave me a girl and a boy, he really gave me a girl and a boy.  Savannah is quite a girly girl and then there is Gabriel — aggressive, loud, messy… like cover-me-in-grape-jelly-and-roll-me-in-the-dirt kind of messy.  He always prefers to be outside, especially in the dirt.  Naturally, he loves Joshua Tree! joshua tree california #showusyourmess #pmedia in_the_know_mom

Life can be very messy and that is okay!  On all of our adventures I carry Wet-Nap products which are portable, reliable and smell oh so great.  Throughout this entire trip I heard myself say, “where are the Wet-Naps?  Get me a Wet-Nap!” over and over.  Not only were both of my kids dirty, but they were scratched up.  Rough and tumble kids they are, Wet-Nap wipes are amazing for us as they are anti-bacterial. #showusyourmess #pmedia in_the_know_mom joshua tree california

Before your next trip, grab some Wet-Nap at Walmart.  Find them in the napkin aisle or near the pharmacy in the baby wipes aisle.  Use this coupon for $.55 off any Wet-Nap product and get going!  Offer good while supplies last.
