Glass Food Storage Containers {Rubbermaid} + giveaway

We love our leftovers in this house. Only problem is that I swear they multiply at night like gremlins. During their multiplying, they must eat and replace the lids with other random ones that do not fit any of them. My storage area is out of control and what’s funny is that I really only use two at a time. So the need for all of these ridiculous amounts is unnecessary. Plus my biggest pet peeve with them (besides the mismatched lids) is that the plastic containers are only that, containers. You can’t heat them up, you can’t freeze them, they’re only for food in your fridge. I refuse to microwave anything in my house that’s made from plastic. This is why I literally just got done cleaning my entire cabinet out by dumping them all into the trash to make room for my new 8-piece Glass Food Storage Container set from Rubbermaid.

Rubbermaid Glass containers can be used in the oven up to 425 degrees, as well as in the microwave, freezer and dishwasher. Yep, so you can literally bake your meal right in the container, serve it, then store leftovers. Next day you can heat the container back up in the oven again if desired. No more transferring to plates or bake-ware only to give yourself a kitchen full of dirty dishes. Not only is this one of the biggest multi-tasking products in the kitchen, but it’s also green.

To solve my mismatched lid woes, Rubbermaid has their patented Easy Find Lids system. This system allows lids to snap to bases and graduated sizes to neatly nest within each other to help maximize space and keep cabinets clutter-free and organized. Yep, a storage areas that are organized, you heard me right. Rubbermaid Glass containers also feature Flex & Seal™ lids with a built-in gasket for exceptional protection against leaks. Normal plastic containers and other glass containers easily leak when frozen due to the temperatures affecting the material. These containers prevent this from happening, keeping your food fresh.

Head over to Rubbermaid to purchase your own set of Glass Food Storage Containers. Save yourself the storage headaches with all of those mismatched items and the useless plastic that can’t even be used for heating. Or if you mooch dinner off of your parents during the week while your husband travels, like I do, buy a set for your parents to take your leftovers home in. :)
