working out with Bob Greene and Omron { #fitwithOmron }

I’m being compensated to write this post by Bookieboo LLC in a blogger campaign with Omron Healthcare. However, the thoughts and opinions expressed in this post are my own.

I’m getting ready to head out for Santa Barbara to take part of something amazing.  Tomorrow I have the awesome opportunity to workout with Bob Greene (um, Oprah’s trainer) on the beach.  Yes!  Four other bloggers and I will be getting our fitness on with the help of Omron and the ever-so-healthy Mamavation blogger network.

My fitness goals for the remainder of the year are the same they started out in late January — look and feel amazing post baby #2.  I’ve been struggling with time and sleep this year, still working to create a schedule where everything fits.  I’m realizing I have way less time to work out than I used to and I’ll be sharing what my solutions are very soon.  A step in the right direction is meeting with Bob and I’m hoping he has some really great tips for me and other moms in my shoes.

To help me with my goals is Omron and their fitness tracking products.  The Omron Activity Monitor with Weight Loss Tracker just arrived and I’m pretty excited to put it to use.  This monitor tracks all of your aerobic activity in time, steps, distance and calories burned.  Just throw it in your pocket and go.  It can store up to 14 days in its memory, a great way to track your progress toward weekly goals — gotta love products that old you accountable.  Connect at via the NFC Communications Tray.

We can all use a visual reminder to keep moving throughout the day — it all adds up.  The Tri-Axis USB Pedometer is another useful tool that connects via USB to  It tracks your steps, pitch “average number of aerobic steps per minute”, calories and distance — no matter how it lays.  It stores up to 22 days in its memory, 7 days on display.

    There isn’t a link showing for Omron on Facebook. I did find one from googling ( but it is like it is blocked for Canadians and sends me back to my feed like I’ve seen some other pages do.

    I’d like to tone up and get some sort of routine going for the rest of the year. Maybe get a jump on the winter slump.
