an easier way to floss {Waterpik} #NewAgeInWaterFlossing

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Waterpik.

I’m one of those weird people that does actually floss daily (okay, more like every 1-3 days) BUT the act has always totally grossed me out.  I avoid looking at that string and transport myself somewhere else until the chore is over.  Hey, we all have our quirks.  So while I DO floss, I don’t enjoy it and I never feel like I do a perfect job — until now with the Waterpik Aquarius Professional Water Flosser.

When I first heard about this opportunity, I was transported back to the days of middle school and braces, a horrendous time for oral hygiene.  I’m grossed out again.  My mom bought me a Waterpik to help keep those tricky braces clean, and it did help, but after the last 15 years, Waterpik has certainly made HUGE improvements.

Hello, my name is Sarah and I’m addicted to the Waterpik Aquarius Professional Water Flosser.  I have a bit of OCD in that I can be very habitual and ritualistic.  This water flosser not only encourages me to floss regularly, it excites me to! I actually look forward to it at the end of the day.

Upon opening my Waterpik box, I spotted seven different tips for different dental needs.  We’re already heads and tails above the model I had back in the late 90’s.  Here they are:

  1. Classic Jet Tips (three different colors for three different users)
  2. Plaque Seeker Tip (amazing for implants, crowns, and bridges)
  3. Orthodontic Tip
  4. Pik Pocket Tip (for periodontal pockets)
  5. Toothbrush Tip

The Waterpik is easy to set up and use, just follow the instructions (quick start guide included).  Be careful to assume the right position, as to not spray the mirror with water.  The angle reminds me a bit of using a NetiPot, minus that back head tilt.  It is all about getting the water to stream out downwards.   Keep your mouth open but your lips down to prevent mirror splatter.

The Waterpik has a convenient dial for water pressure.  Set it at its lowest pressure setting and gradually adjust up to your preference as you see what works for you.   No need to blast full stream ahead when a lighter pressure gets the job done.  In Floss Mode, the timer will give you a short pause at 30 seconds for pacing and at 1 minute indicate cleaning time is complete.  This is a recommended setting but feel free to have another go if BBQ and corn on the cob was on the menu that night!  Once the Waterpik is on, you have another on/off on the handle to ensure full personal control.

At the end of the day (literally) I am in love with my new flossing technique.  I’m left feeling fresher, cleaner and am excited to see if my dentist notices a difference.  This water flosser is perfect for anyone who loves to floss, hates to floss — in a word — everyone.  Kids also get a kick out of the water flosser, my 7 year old daughter included, just be prepared to get sprayed when kids get involved!

Props to you for flossing so regularly! I’m trying to floss more but Gil uses (and loves) his Waterpik. Perhaps it’s time for me to give it a try…

I’ve been using the Waterpik water flosser for a few weeks now and I love it! It’s so much easier on my gums than dental floss!

Unquestionably believe that that you said. Your favorite justification seemed to be on the web the simplest factor to bear in mind of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed even as other people think about concerns that they just do not understand about. You managed to hit the nail upon the highest and defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people can take a signal. Will likely be again to get more. Thank you
