{DIY} Thanksgiving Sailboat Treat Holders

felt sailboatPottery Barn, oh how I love you. Their catalogs make me drool. If I could (afford to) furnish my entire home from their catalog, I probably would. Heck, I’d just hire one of their designers to come to my house and decorate it on a regular basis. Ok, back to my point. In their latest catalog, they have these adorable felt sailboats for Thanksgiving. How adorable to have sailboats for each of the kids on their place settings! You don’t have to stuff it with candy, you can stuff it with anything you’d like…craisins and goldfish (my daughter’s favorite) or even some grapes.

I’m going to be making these with the embroidery for my daughter and nephew, but if you aren’t comfortable with embroidering, Sarah from Sheek Shindings created a version using only hot glue to keep these boats together. She walks you through the entire process with easy to follow photos. Click here for the entire process.

Now to just find some Pilgrim hats to make for the kids. Or I could just have my daugher wear her Indian feather headpiece I made her last year. Hard decisions.
