My Valentine + a Burt’s Bees Baby {sale}

With Valentine’s Day just a couple days away (yay) all I can think of is how much I love my support system.  My husband, my kids, my parents, my brother, my friends.  This is the group that keeps me going, no matter what.  The most recent addition is my little boy Gabriel.  We connected so strong when I was pregnant with him.  Through my high-risk pregnancy, I mentally had to come to grips with the fact I may not see him on Earth.  While he had a great chance of being fine, I had to accept the horrific idea so I could get through the day without crying.  I had another child who needed me to be positive.

And then it happened… I truly did accept the situation.  I KNEW no matter how the pregnancy and labor went, I already had a son.  If not here, then he’d be waiting for me in Heaven.  That was enough for me.  The intense bond that formed has carried on these past two years of life with Gabriel.  He brings such unique joy to my life and this Valentine’s Day I have THREE Valentines – how lucky am I?

My #1 Neil (husband) brought me home an early Valentine’s Day gift yesterday of chocolates, wine and foot massage oil.  He does that kind of thing all the time — the most thoughtful man ever.  He also brought home a giant mylar Valentine’s Day balloon for our daughter (she’s 8) which earned him a lot of brownie points with her!

We don’t give our kids (or ourselves) many sweets at all, so when the kids got wind of chocolate in the house… I knew I should stash them up high.  Well, I didn’t. haha.  I came in to find baby Gabriel like this…

His sister snickering in the background, a wad of chocolate in her mouth as well.  He’s only two and his sister is already getting him into trouble!! Siblings… Gabriel found it absolutely hysterical and could not stop laughing.  It could have been the thrill of getting caught or it could have been the sugar high.

Kids are not kids without mischievousness though.  So I laughed and pulled my Valentine into the bathtub = )
