knits and stripes for fall {Burt’s Bees Baby}

There was a collective sigh heard ’round the eco-friendly baby community when Burt’s Bees Baby launched a line of apparel, and now parents of toddlers can join.  Burt’s Bees Baby now sells quality, organic clothing for kids up to 4T!  The first line for fall is exceptional and full of great styles for preschool.  Burt’s Bees Baby sent me a few gorgeous pieces to review and share with you guys.

When I first reviewed Burt’s Bees Baby, specifically a wonderful Welcome Home Baby Gift Set, I was very pleased with the quality.  The set is 100% functional (no filler) and soft — but high quality — and I loved how long the onesie sides came down.  But I have to say, I was not prepared for the amazingness that is Burt’s Bees Baby Kids.

SO… when my husband and I set out for this shoot, baby Gabriel was a little dude with a ‘tude.  It happens.  That’s real life, right?  He is teething up a storm — enough said.  I planned on re-shooting but then I thought his moodiness was kind of appropriate for the fall season, so I went with it.

Gabe is first featuring the Plain All Day Striped Tee, an essential for fall.  It is a classic crew neck (which I had trouble getting over my 100th percentile baby’s head) long sleeve tee with grey/white (organic white) stripes and contrasting orange stitching. It is super soft and it is one of those great basics that isn’t too basic: goes with everything.

For a little more buzz, try the Play All Day Beeline Tee, a dark sea blue and white (organic white) snap front henley.  It is soft and cozy and perfect for breezy fall days.  The buzz comes in with a realistic style bee outline in contrasting orange (same as the stitching).

For those nippier days, Burt’s Bees Baby has the Playground Zipper Hoodie, a 100% organic cotton terry zipper-front.  It features a whimsical striped inner lining in the hood and kangaroo pockets.  This is your perfect everyday playdate hoodie for fall.

Then, there is the softest, most bestest (yep) 100% organic cotton loose terry suit – a drawstring pant and pullover pocket hoodie.  I cannot believe the price on this set… $40!  Just one touch and I knew my baby boy would be so comfortable all fall.  I also love the details: pockets (that I stuff pacifiers in) inner hood contrast lining and the loose terry ends.  I cannot think of a better outfit for the cool days tromping through the yard or pumpkin patch!  They are also great on their own and I see Gabriel getting a lot of use out of the hoodie.
