back to school with Burt’s Bees Baby
I have been dressing Gabriel in Burt’s Bees Baby his whole life – it’s a favorite brand of ours. Naturally, when it came time to beef up his fall apparel for school season, I grabbed a few closet staples from the quality brand. I noticed Gabe was definitely lacking cool weather clothes (not the first thing that comes to mind living in the desert). Luckily, Burt’s Bees Baby had just what he needed – comfortable and stylish, cozy clothing!
Gabriel wears a lot of camo. I tend to buy a lot of camo because it is pretty much a neutral pattern. It goes with most all colors and even mixes well with other simple patterns… like the way stripes do. Mix-n-match possibilities is very much always in my mind when shopping for kids clothes. The more pieces you have that match, the more outfits you have! So I started with Burt’s Bees Baby Kids Camo Jogger (multi) and Kids Long Sleeve V-Neck Tee (pumpkin).
Another wardrobe multiplier is reversible anything, like the Kids Reversible Camo Hoodie. One side is the same camo as the joggers, the other side is an olive drab that matches the camo perfectly (and also looks great with the pumpkin shirt)! This reversible jacket will definitely be getting worn quite a bit this fall, with and without the matching joggers.
While Gabe is a big fan of zip-up hoodies, I’m a sucker for a nice pullover. Maybe he doesn’t like them because they mess up his proper haircut! I really couldn’t love the Kids Applique Sweatshirt (midnight) any more. How fab does this pullover sweatshirt look with the camo? It will also pair well with jeans and khakis, plus basically any fall colored tee peeking out from underneath.
All of the clothing from Burt’s Bees Baby is 100% organic cotton and ridiculously high-quality, especially considering the reasonable prices. Since we’ve been purchasing this brand for over 3 years, I can tell you that all of the pieces stand up very well to washings and baby/toddler beatings. Gabe definitely outgrew Burt’s Bees Baby clothing before it wore out – and he’s a tough boy! He is really hard on his clothing, so I know buying quality kids clothing for him is important.
