let’s go to the doctor {YGG}

My daughter has been a big Yo Gabba Gabba fan for about three years now.  I have to say, it’s one of the better kid’s shows as of late.  The catchy songs always carry a good lesson, the graphics are bright and eye-grabbing, and the characters are loveable.  On top of the basics, YGG offers great musical acts and celebrity guests with fun dances.  My daughter memorizes the songs and dances easily now and it’s so fun to peak around the corner and watch her perform along with the YGG gang.  She also actually uses the lessons she learns, “keep trying” being a big one at this age.  Whenever she gets frustrated (which happens a lot) she will sing the “keep trying” song to herself.  That’s how I know the show really sinks in.

Feeling really, really bad that this cute little boy is sick… feeling SO bad she cries… so compassionate.

This new Yo Gabba Gabba DVD was an exciting arrival and was quickly popped in to play.  Let’s Go To The Doctor was a big hit with my daughter.  She is in the minority as she is a child who actually enjoys going to the doctor.  This may be because she has never been sick in her life, except for that one bug her best friend shared with her *ahem*.  You know who you are.  She also loves to play doctor so she immediately grabbed her FAO doctor kit and went to work, suggesting how to help Toodee feel better.  The other episodes on this DVD are: Teeth, Clean, and Car… all great episodes.  I especially love Chromeo’s musical performance on Clean.  This is my favorite YGG episode compilation so far.  Runtime of 96 min, MSRP $16.99.

Order your DVD at Nickelodeon, available January 11, 2011 for $12.99.
