Well Beginnings diapers and wipes {Walgreens}

With my first child, I was brand loyal with my diapers, not for any other reason than “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.  With the second, I’m all over the place, generally whatever is on sale at whatever store I happen to be at when I need them.  Needless to say, I’ve got a better idea these days about which work and which don’t.  This past week I have been trying Well Beginnings from Walgreens with a positive outcome

So here is who I have testing the Well Beginnings diapers:

Gabriel is 13 months and in size 4 – 5 diapers.  He’s very big for his age, clearly, as I don’t think my daughter ever even wore size 5 diapers.  She was potty trained before that weight limit.  Anyway, like I said, he’s a boy and therefore needs really great front coverage. I’m not thrilled by the idea of back or leg blow-outs either, so those areas better be tip top as well.  Well Beginnings offers superb all-around caoverage, no leaks at all so far, even overnight.  I haven’t experienced any leg blowouts either, though we all know sometimes those are just unavoidable.  *ick*

I had a girl first, a sweet little thing that was always content with life.  She quietly played with toys, could stay out alllll day and left her socks on.  Well, Gabriel is much less content and would especially prefer to be naked.  He pulls at his diapers a lot, meaning the closure tabs better be strong. I often turn to see him completely nude or halfway through the process… no one warned me about that!  Well Beginnings diapers certainly put up a fight with their stretchy and soft yet strong sides and closures.

So there are two brands of diapers that I won’t buy again.  One is a mainstream brand that is a little less expensive than the others and it is Leak City.  The other brand is a store brand and the material is cheap.  They are not very soft and the tabs often rip right off.  My diaper trials have not all come up winners, but I can add Well Beginnings to the winner circle.  They are soft, absorbent and the hypoallergenic, extra soft inner liner with natural botanicals, vitamin E and aloe keeps sensitive bums happy.  The super cute elephant designs certainly seal the deal.

Surprisingly perhaps, I am pickier about my wipes than I am my diapers.  I need wipes with a perfect moisture, not too dry, not too wet.  The Well Beginnings Wipes are just right, comparable to my favorite brands and I will be stocking up on my next trip to Walgreens.  They can handle any mess… even the nightmarish poos my baby has been having (oh what a virus can do!).

I fully recommend these diapers and wipes to you guys, as well as my family and close friends.  I am nothing but impressed and bummed I didn’t try them sooner!  Purchase Well Beginnings diapers and wipes at your local Walgreens, as I surely will be when my supply runs low!  Keep in the know by liking Walgreens on Facebook.

What do you look for in a diaper?

    I love the cute elephant print! I usually cloth, but a good non-leaking sposie is important!!

    We’re out of the diaper and pull-up phase thank God, but we’re still in need of sturdy wipes. I’ll check out Well Beginnings next time I’m at Walgreens!

    I hate to necro an old post, but do you have suggestions for wipes that are comprable to the Well Beginnings? Since the recall on them, we haven’t found another one we like. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks!
