With our move cutting right into my son’s first year of Pre-Kindergarten, I wanted to find something to keep him learning until the next school year. Shortly after we arrived to our new home I start searching for a program that would work for us. I came across Teach My, an award-winning, early learning program for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. The program suggests working with your children at least 20 minutes a day. We have easily worked Teach My into our daily schedule. During our morning breakfast at the table to we discuss what we did the morning before and what we learned from it; then after breakfast we start our new lesson for the day. The program also suggests only working on one subject a day.  The kit comes with 4 different subjects so I’ve scheduled the subjects Monday – Thursday and let my son pick which subject he would like to “play” with on Friday morning. Since he was used to going to Pre-Kindergarden shortly after breakfast at our previous home, this schedule worked great for us. My problem with trying to teach my child something new is coming up with a way to teach it to him.  I often get confused myself thus confusing him and he is learning nothing. With the Teach My kits, it does all the hard work for you.

Each Teach My kit is different for each age group, Teach My Baby 6-18 months, Teach My Toddler 18 months -3 years, and Teach My Preschooler 3-5 years.
The Teach My Preschool kit came with 4 subjects: Ready for Math, Ready to Print, Ready to Read, and Ready for 1-100.

My son’s favorite subject is Ready to Print.  It could be the included magna doodle or it could be saying “A-Okay” every time he picks up the pen, either way I’m happy he is excited about learning! I will be confident my son is where he needs to be come August when he goes back to school after a summer using this program. Not only is he learning but these are our last few months of precious quality time together before he is in school until he graduates.
