personalize your home with {Kleenex Design}

This post on #KleenexStyle and personalizing your home with Kleenex facial tissue is sponsored by Kleenex.

When I have family or friends over, I do this mad dash beforehand, shoveling toys into corner closets, folding down the play yard, high chair, walker and chucking any kid-relevant item into the closest cavernous space.  My husband recently let me in on a fact — “everyone knows we have children, hun.”  I suddenly realized how ridiculous I was being and since then, I have been trying to create one consistent look… which basically involves lots of clever thinking and mass amounts of furniture with hidden storage.  Coexisting with kids and their things can be a challenge.

Whether you have children or not, there are things in all of our homes that are not decorative, they are simply functional.  That treadmill in your living room is an eyesore.  The tower fan rotating past, saving me from this desert heat wave — its cord is driving me bonkers, totally in plain view.  And, I know it is flu/cold season but do we really need those tissue boxes everywhere?!  Yeah, we do!  While I can’t fix your treadmill or fan (or space heater) cord problem, Kleenex has you covered on the tissues — so many new, fab designs you won’t want to hide!

I’ve been spending a lot of time in this chair.  It is in my bedroom, aka my sanctuary, the perfect chair to read another chapter, give myself a quickie mani and other mom luxuries during naptime.  We had family come to visit this week and they brought a bug with them.  It is making its rounds through the family, hitting me today.  A stylish Kleenex box near my favorite chair is just what the doctor ordered (and a Z-Pak).

I’m particularly loving this Kleenex design, simple and modern, and I saw other color variations (I think a beige?) I have a lot of blues in my house right now, so I stocked up on this style.  What is your tissue style?  Did you know there is a quiz to find your Kleenex Style?

My daughter needs Kleenex facial tissues nearby, especially at night.  She is cursed with nosebleeds, so that tissue may be the deciding factor if her pajamas or sheets will be covered in blood.  Naturally, we keep a box next to her bed with her humidifier — an absolute must for this dry winter air in the desert.  It is murder on a nose!  Thankfully Kleenex tissues are strong, soft and easy on sensitive noses.

My daughter picked out this owl design for her personal Kleenex box — so adorable and it fits right in with her existing nightstand decor.  We grabbed all of these we could find at the store as they seem to be popular (and therefore out of stock a lot!)  Not only would I not want to hide this box, it actually adds to the style of the table and I’m loving that fashionable function.

My 12 month old caught the bug first, which resulted in a fever, a cough and, of course, a runny nose.  He is not one for nose wiping… in fact it tops his most hated list, but it must happen.  Thankfully Kleenex facial tissues are in his life, now in prettier packages.

To celebrate Kleenex’s 90th anniversary, they’re bringing you another innovative first: The Kleenex® Style Studio. Take the Kleenex Style Quiz and see if you can tell the difference between catwalk and Kleenex designs — this is pretty interesting!  You can scroll over the different styles Kleenex offers and read fun facts about Kleenex over the past 90 years.  There is also a product locator so you can find where exact styles of Kleenex are sold.  I found the more styled boxes near me were at CVS, Ralph’s (Kroger) and Target.

    I haven’t noticed that owl box in the store. I’ll have to look closer for it. It would go perfectly in my office!
