are you watching? {Outlander on STARZ}

Guys, I hope you watched the Outlander premiere on STARZ this past Saturday! `Did you? I did! I am so hooked on this show and so excited for the rest of the season. Outlander is one of those shows where in episode one I’m already dying to know how it ends. How will this incredible story play out? In my first post about Outlander, I told you about the unique plot, fascinating characters and beautiful setting.

In Outlander, we follow heroine Claire Randall from her life in 1945 back to a very different 1743. Claire is married in 1945 but back in 1743, her husband does not exist (but his ancestor does!) and she is torn between that marriage and a new interest. Jamie is a young, chivalrous and romantic warrior with Scot-red hair and a pretty rockin’ body. Apparently, Claire is forced to marry the lad, but we do not see that in the first (or second) episode. I cannot wait to see that!

Sometimes the pilot episode is a bit… so-so as the actors and crew need to work the kinks out. Not so with Outlander. Right from the get-go I was sucked into the show and the acting was spot on. Probably my favorite part has been the setting — gorgeous Scotland. The scenes are expertly shot and the lighting… from a photographer’s perspective… is just dreamy! There is also a bit of a history lesson, which is always a great bonus.
