organic socks {Ecoland}

For some reason socks are an issue for me.  I’m very picky and often end up sock-less.  I think socks are just as important as any other garment that lies next to our skin, yet they’re often overlooked.  If a sock doesn’t breathe, it’s not for me.  I honestly feel claustrophobic in synthetic socks and can’t stand my feet getting hot.  I imagine my daughter might feel the same way since she seems to not like to wear many.  Just the other day I was going through my daughter’s sock/underwear/tights/bloomer bin searching for the mate to the sock she had picked to wear.  I realized it was high time I did some major purging when I came across a couple pairs of socks marked 6-12 months (how on Earth…).  By the end of my purge I realized it was also high time for some sock shopping!

Since I’m trying to buy more organic clothing, I figured why not organic socks?  That is when I came across Ecoland, a family run company who produces organic underwear for the entire family.  All of their products are manufactured in the USA . My daughter tried out the toddler girl’s flower quarter socks and she loves them.  They are soft and stretchy, just as a sock should be.  They are 76% organic cotton, 22% nylon, 2% Spandex.  She is wearing size 2-6T, which may seem like a wide range of fit (it did to me) but they fit great (she’s 4+).  They are lightweight, which is super important since they need to fit inside shoes!  I can’t stand the really thick socks they market to parents.  How are they supposed to fit jammed in baby shoes?  They are also great because they are neutral in color, going with most outfits, big bonus.  Order a set for your baby, toddler, husband, and yourself!

Ecoland is offering 15% off first time purchases until May 31st.  Simply enter GRLFLW15 at checkout.

Special thanks to Ecoland for providing sample socks for review purposes.
