Often new Moms and Dads hear or even think that cooking after they have children is considered a chore or a daily responsibility. Now that does not sound like much fun to me, but thanks to author Kelsey Banfield and her book The Naptime Chef you can learn how to put the “passion” back into cooking for your family. For those who love cooking and baking delicious food this is definitely a handy tool to have in your life.
Before author Kelsey Banfield’s daughter was born she and her husband enjoyed cooking, eating delicious food, and trying new recipes, but after their daughter was born, cooking was not so simple. One sweet day while her daughter was napping Kelsey found a solution. Cook dinner or just part of the meal during naptime, and this is how she became the naptime chef.
Now to my favorite part…THE FOOD! I do not know who would not enjoy Strawberries & Cream Overnight French Toast for breakfast and Spicy-Citrus Grilled Shrimp for dinner. The recipes in The Naptime Chef are delicious and very nourishing for your whole family. Inside this handy cookbook, you will find recipes for vegetables, side dishes, soups, appetizers, main dishes, beverages, desserts and even bread recipes. Other than the food, (of course) the section on pantry staples is very helpful and the little stories and tips before each recipe keeps this cookbook real and fun.
