Karma Organics {MUST HAVE nail care essentials}

In highschool, I worked at a nail & tanning salon on the weekends and then even into college when I’d come home on breaks. I’d spend hours with the nail tech’s learning all the tips and tricks and of course getting my nails done. Pretty sad knowing my background if you would ever catch a glimpse of my nails currently. Working on changing that little fact. Ok, back to my point. Over the years I’ve learned a few things, one of which being that nothing seems to remove polish as well as acetone based polish removers. They smell pretty awful, but remove polish super fast. My husband always looks around thinking a cat had an accident when I leave an acetone soaked cotton ball in the trash. I’ve tried several items in the past, but I always go back to the hard core items. Lately I’ve seen magazine’s raving about Karma Organic’s Organic polish remover. I admit, I chuckled at first. I mean, a natural polish remover that’s scented? It amused me. I don’t even know how to explain this product without gushing all over the place. I had on some thick coats of dark blue polish and decided to give this lavender scented polish remover a go. At first, I could definitely see the sheen from the Soybean Oil on my nail beds. The scent kind encompasses you as you rub the liquid over your nails. All kidding aside, I started to feel more like I was rubbing an essential oil into my fingertips. I looked down and the polish was completely removed in the exact time frame as my acetone remover. But, and this is a very big BUT, my fingers were actually moisturized at the same time AND smelled wonderful. I tossed the pad into the garbage can in my bathroom and it left this a slight lavender scent in the room until it dried out a few minutes later.

Karma Organics has definitely changed the entire way I think about polish remover. I used to actually dread it and at times would prefer to peel my polish off versus removing it. I know, worst thing you could do for your nail beds. I even used it on my daughters glitter polish. I’m not sure what’s in those glitter polishes, but they’re like superglue on the nails. Ironically it actually took it off faster than the acetone remover, plus is safer for my daughter to have on her nails. Here are a few facts on Karma Organics polish remover:

– 100% Biodegradable
– 100% Soy and Corn based
– Non-toxic
– Non-carcinogenic
– Free of any Petroleum Ingredients
– Derived from Farm Crops which in turn supports American farming
– Packaged in 100% recyclable glass bottles
– Comes in Lavender, Tea Tree, or Unscented

Thankfully Karma Organics sells their products to the public, versus only using them in their spa. They have an amazing line of polishes and nail treatments as well. Their polishes go on smoothly and last through several rounds of dish washing, which says a lot. I can honestly say that I have no idea how they make such an amazing product, while also being organic and natural plant based. Head over to their shop here to browse through all of their products available for purchase. If you’re one of the lucky readers who live in New Jersey, you can go treat yourself to a day at their spa! Click here for more information on their spa menu and to see all the awards given to them by the beauty industry and some of your favorite magazines.

Special thanks to Karma Organics for providing samples for review purposes.
