a look at the {Joovy Groove Ultralight}

The Joovy Groove, a lightweight umbrella stroller, has a cult-like following.  It is the ideal stroller for scootin’ around the city and awesome for travel.  Well, move over Groove because there’s a new sibling in town –> the Joovy Groove Ultralight, which is 5 lbs lighter.  It is one of the lightest strollers available today, but believe you me, there are no corners cut and no compromises!

Every night possible, we head out on a family walk at sunset.  The heat is backing off by then and we can truly enjoy the beautiful neighborhood we live in.  Typically, my 7 year old grabs her scooter (and helmet) and I grab a lightweight stroller for the baby. Ever since the Groove Ultralight entered my garage, it has been our go-to for our walks.

The Joovy Groove Ultralight is the perfect stroller for these walks, and also great strolling around town.  Most importantly, it is a comfy spot for babies to rest, coo and, well if we are insanely lucky, take a nap… not that Gabriel has ever done that before (one day, I pray).

It has great lightweight padding, multiple position reclining, adjustable footrest and even mesh kids pockets for snacks and toys.

Gabriel, who has been in a large variety of strollers, seems quite content in the Groove Ultralight, night after night.  Wave hello!

The contemporary look gives this lightweight real eye appeal.  It is a simpler construction than that say of the Qool or the TooFold but it still has that Joovy style!  Don’t take this one off-roading, but for all your urban (and by that I mean paved roads and sidewalks) trips, the Groove Ultralight offers everything you need.  Shopping? Great, there is a more than sufficient storage basket.  There is an additional pouch on the back (perfect for your phone and keys) with a mesh cupholder to keep you hydrated.

Probably my favorite feature of all is that signature oversized canopy.  Look.  I live in the desert where it is the beginning of May, yet already hitting 100 degrees.  The sun is super harsh and I NEED that oversized canopy, lest my child look like a lobster.  Joovy never lets me down on this feature.  There is also a convenient moon roof so mom and baby can say hello to each other — precious.

Can we talk about how gorgeous this color is?  The Groove Ultralight comes in Jade but also favorites like Purpleness, Charcoal, Triple Black and Blueberry.  Can we also talk about how big my 15 month old is? My goodness…

When it comes to finding the right lightweight stroller, perhaps the most important feature to notice is how easy to fold, store and carry it is.  The Groove Ultralight checks off every box.

Easy folding and auto fold lock, cinches down thin and features a shoulder carry strap.  Weighing in at under 13 pounds, anyone can tote this stroller around all day.  Amazingly convenient and easy to use… the travel stroller we all need.

    Interesting post!, I have been on the hunt for the perfect umbrella stroller. I first purchased the Bumbleride Flite, I returned it because the seat was very flimsy and the basket was totally accessible. Next came the Maclaren Quest, I returned it because the canopy is not sufficient and I didn’t like that only the back wheels had suspension. Also the brake system on the quest was kinda kooky. So that lead me to the Maclaren Techno XT, 4 wheel suspension, large canopy, decent size storage (so I thought). We returned this one because its frame was very wobbly, if you have a diaper bag in the storage basket forget about reclining the seat. The only thing a Maclaren has that I like more than the Joovy Groove is the 5 point harness & buckle. So after trying so many stroller I was hesitant to buy the Joovy but I must say this is one first class stroller!

      I feel your struggle on the umbrella stroller! The Groove Ultralight is a clear winner for me. I’ve never been a huge Maclaren fan personally. Another good option is the UPPAbaby G-LUXE, though I prefer the Joovy now for sure.

    Thanks so much for your review! I was deciding between the uppababy G-luxe and the Joovy Groove Ultralight, but I think I am going with the Joovy. Why do you prefer it over the G-luxe? Also, I emailed Joovy and they said the Jade color should be available in a few weeks!

    Thank you so much for this insightful review! I am desperately searching for the right umbrella stroller. Need lightweight for air travel, recline, affordable, mostly… the most UPRIGHT possible seating for my daughter. She likes to be able to basically sit straight upright at a 90 degree angle. However, I also want recline option, for naps. I have read Maclaren Triumph has good upright seat, can you tell me if this Joovy ultalight does also? I cant really tell from the pics. (ps. Beautiful pics, by the way!)
    Thank you SO SO SO much for your input. I find myself going down the rabbit hole deeper and deeper with each new click of the mouse. ;-)
    MOST grateful,
    Meredith

      One more thing- am also considering the Eddie Bauer Portage- but the back rest seems a little flimsy. I had been considering the UPPAbaby G-Luxe but have read many reviews that said it does not sit very upright at highest incline.

    Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword….wait there’s even more Now what if i told you there was a simple WordPress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? That’s right AUTOMATICALLY, just watch this 4minute video for more information at. Seo Plugin
