I find the importance of providing our kids with safe, eco-friendly, wooden toys to be overwhelming. With all the wonderful options on the market today there really is no reason for plastic, environment-damaging products made of God only knows WHAT ingredients. My daughter always has favored her wooden toys (wooden animals, puzzles, pretend foods, even books). Wooden toys are great because they last forever and can really withstand the beatings children can give their toys. They also typically end up being the toys we save as heirlooms or just hand me downs, due to their durability and classic style.
