The Hip Hop Dance Experience {Kinect and Wii}
Thank you to Ubisoft for sponsoring this post. Please visit Ubi.com to learn more about Ubisoft. I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective. #UbiChamps
There is more than one way to skin a cat… er, get in shape. 2013 is here and you know what that means: time to set those resolutions, but this year you’re going to stick with them. A common one is to become healthier by losing weight, toning up and eating cleaner. Keeping in shape isn’t all about the gym, in fact, I haven’t had a full gym membership since college and I manage just fine!
One of my favorite ways to keep energized and moving is the Xbox 360 Kinect. The Wii works too. The dancey dance games are always great for this and fresh on the scene is The Hip Hop Dance Experience, and its a fun one.
Featuring chart-toppers from Run DMC and The Sugarhill Gang to Chris Brown and N.E.R.D, there is a little something for all hip hop lovers whether you are in your 20’s or your 40’s. I’m going to go ahead and say this isn’t for young kids, at least no one younger than teenage in my opinion. But it isn’t all about the kids, right? We deserve to have a little fun too and I’m thinking The Hip Hop Dance Experience is the perfect girls night in activity.
If you are looking to gain some pretty sweet moves (over 700 to be exact) inspired by top choreographers, then look no further. If you are looking to break a sweat, again, look no further. There are several game modes to play depending on your mood and situation. There is Dance Party, Dance Battle (multiple players), Power Skooling (training) and Dance Marathon (shuffle) mode. For my competitive nature, my vote most days is for Dance Battle, which is great to challenge your girlfriends or husband with! Don’t worry if you have two left feet because there is a handicap available for your kind! I’d say for the best “workout” opt for Dance Marathon. This mode won’t stop until you wave your white flag of defeat (in other words, you miss too many steps). Game over.
I like dance games for Kinect, and love when sub-genres are released. Often times you are left picking through the general dance games to find the genre you like. Thanks to Ubisoft, hip hop lovers in specific have their own game. Let’s see more of that! I guess you need to have a little love for hip hop to thoroughly enjoy the game, but a couple friends and a cocktail in hand and anyone would have a good time.
Find The Hip Hop Dance Experience on Amazon and prepare to drop it like its hot.
