cheery spring SleepSacks {HALO} + giveaway
Having another baby has made me realize just how much I adore and rely on HALO SleepSacks and Swaddles. Many may try, but the more swaddles and sacks I use with my baby, the more I appreciate HALO. When it is late at night and my sweaty or leaky baby needs a change, I always reach for HALO sacks. They are just so uncomplicated! Not the biggest fan of pastels, I was thrilled to see the new prints for spring. Bright, playful and made of breathable cotton, HALO has wooed me with a sack to appease me on all levels, a sack worthy of review.
We are huge advocates of swaddling. I didn’t take advantage of the age-old practice with my first child, which is a shame. When I swaddled her for the first time, my daughter squirmed and “fought”, which I took as her being uncomfortable. “Oh, well” I thought. “I just have one of those babies who doesn’t liked to be swaddled.” Now I realize I was so wrong. All babies love to be swaddled and right after that squirm comes complete peace. HALO also has new spring designs in their 100% Cotton SleepSack Swaddles so if you are in the market for a swaddle, check ’em out.
My poor 3 month old has those uncontrollably spastic arms that flail all day. He bonks himself in the head constantly and always wakes himself up. The swaddle calms his jerky arms and I can tell he feels at peace with them tightly wrapped. But since we use the swaddle as a signal for nap/bedtime, we do not use them during the rest of the day. Instead, if we are at home, he is hanging in a wearable blanket, because his legs are just as jerky as his arms.
Yeah. I admit it. Most days, my baby lives in a cloth diaper and a wearable blanket. Why bring pants into your day if you don’t have to? The HALO wearable blankets are perfect for babies who kick blankets off and who grab and pull blankets over their faces. My baby does both of these things. The sack bottom allows for ample kick space, without the annoyances of a blanket.
Great for the warm weather is the HALO SleepSack 100% Cotton Wearable Blanket, a super soft fabric that also breathes. Babies are notoriously hot and tend to quickly become little sweaty messes, so a fabric that breathes is important…especially when you live in a hot hot climate like I do. These sacks are also sleeveless and with ample armholes, perfect with long or shortsleeve onesie underneath.
Try as he might, he can’t pull this blanket over his face!
If there is one thing that annoys we about other sacks, it’s when the zipper doesn’t zip from the bottom. What kind of backwards thinking is that? With HALO, the zipper is always on the bottom, making diaper changes a breeze. Once my son gains some arm control, he will be sleeping every night in these wearable blankets so that bottom zipper is KEY!
Purchase your HALO SleepSack Wearable Blanket for $26 on Amazon.com. These bright and cheery sacks come in Boy Print Blue (see above) Girl Print Pink and Neutral Print Green…and also a few pastels. Sizes come from small-XL (up to 36 lbs!).

I love sleep sacks! My boys slept so much better when they were in it! That one looks really well made!
We used these all the time when the kids were tiny. They’re so great for the time when they’re too small for blankets.
This looks incredibly soft and snugly for baby!
That is freaking adorable!
That is so cute. I don’t remember seeing anything like that when my girls were babies. Adorable!
