get in the photo {capturing memories} #MomIsHere
This sponsored post was written while participating in my partnership with Sprout and One2One Network, but as always, all opinions are my own.
All too often, I am looking through friends’ Facebook albums and it is just picture after picture of their kids –> their kids with dad, their kids with their pets, their kids with other kids … but where is mom? Mom is behind the camera, being the mamarazzi as she should, but we must all remember to step in front of the camera every so often. When we are old and grey, looking back on the thousands of photos cataloging the childhoods we participated in, we’re going to treasure those photos the most – the ones that say Mom Is Here.
We all have different reasons for not being in enough of the family photos. Maybe you are uncomfortable with baby weight you never lost, or you don’t feel pretty because there was no time for makeup (or even a shower) that day… maybe you have always been camera-shy… maybe you just forget… Well today I say, GET IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA! Make dad or grandma or a stranger take the photo.
Personally, I’ve always loved being in front of the camera. But, it’s shocking to me how few photos I have of myself with the kids, especially when my oldest was young. I was so focused on getting that great shot of my kid, I forgot to include me. Not anymore. Lately, I’ve been jumping into the scene
Participate in the Mom Is Here campaign happening over at Sprout Channel. You can use a photo from Facebook, Instagram or upload one from your computer. You can also simply hashtag your photos #MomIsHere & #SproutChannel to be entered. Sprout’s message to moms is that these special moments with our kids are fleeting. Time really does does fly by and we all are witnesses to that fact. Don’t forget to capture the moment RIGHT NOW and again and again. Your old self will be ever grateful that you did.
I had a great time entering photos in the #momishere Sprout campaign, this one being my first, an Instagram I took where my daughter went all 14 years old on me.
I suppose I should tell you the prizes! Enter #MomIsHere and have a chance at:
Prizes:
• Grand Prize – $2,000 Spa Package
• Ten First Place Prizes – $100 Spa Finder Gift Card.
• All entries also have a chance to be featured in a commercial which will run on Sprout and also see their photo on Sprout’s electronic billboard in Times Square.
Photos might take up to 24 hours to be approved. All approved photos will live in a gallery on momishere.com. The sweepstakes is offered only to women 18 or older who are a parent/legal guardian of a child 8 years old and under. Complete Sweepstakes rules can be found here.

We love Sprout! My youngest is still enamored with all of the shows. I am off to enter the giveaway. Thanks for sharing.
I need to enter this, if only to get in front of the camera again – it’s been far too long!!
I will have to enter this, I would love to win a spa package, I sure could use the pampering.
I have to enter this-I SO NEED A SPA day for sure–we’ve been cleaning the basement and moving heavy boxes-so a massage would be great
I love this campaign!! I agree that we need to make sure we are in the photos so that our kids can see us enjoying life not just through the lens.
