Gender Testing Made Easy {Intelligender} + Giveaway

If you are pregnant and anything like me, you are counting down the days from your initial ultrasound to your 20 week ultrasound. Typically an initial ultrasound is done around 7-8 weeks, and to wait those 3 months to know the gender of your baby can be a real nail biter, especially in our case. We have 2 beautiful little girls and are hoping for a brand new experience this time around, since this will most likely be our last child. Intelligender was kind enough to send us a sample to review, and I was very excited to try it out. When I opened the box, I found a specimen cup, a syringe, the test cup, and instructions.

The instructions were very easy to follow. I was to collect my urine in the cup provided, then insert the syringe into it, collecting a specific amount that was very clearly labeled on it. I was then instructed to insert the syringe into a hole at the top of the test cup, and squeeze in my collected urine using the syringe. Once done, I had to rapidly swirl around the test cup, then place it on a flat surface. An orange/yellow colored result means girl and a green result means boy. There are even swatches on the cup itself to compare to. I waited a few minutes, and here was my result:

Needless to say, I was pretty excited, along with my husband who was eager to see the results as well. Overall, I was very pleased with this test. It was very simple to perform, the instructions were very easy to read, and there was no confusion during the entire process. This is not the only gender test I have taken. The other one left me confused, and did not properly describe the process, which made me have to send an email and wait and additional day before taking it, which is NOT something an impatient mommy-to-be wants to do. Just remember, any over the counter gender test is not to be used to replace an ultrasound and should be used for entertainment purposes only. Even though after several independent studies were conducted, the Intelligender Gender Prediction kit pulls a 88.5% accuracy rate, you should always have the results confirmed before making any financial decisions.

When can you use the Intelligender? “As early as 10 weeks into your pregnancy (8 weeks post- conception)! Most women find out the sex of their baby at their 20-week sonogram as long as baby chooses to cooperate. The Gender Prediction Test bridges the curiosity gap between conception and sonogram!”  And, how does it work? “IntelliGender’s Gender Prediction Test is a simple urine analysis similar to the pregnancy test you took a few weeks ago.  It uses first morning urine and a proprietary mix of chemicals which reacts with a combination of hormones to indicate the gender of your baby. ” Happy testing!

UPDATE: I am happy to announce that Intelligender was indeed CORRECT for me in predicting the gender of my unborn child. I had an ultrasound that revealed that our baby was all boy. Thank you, Intelligender for giving me that fun experience!
