Feed The Woozle {Cooperative Board Game} Giveaway

As parents, I am sure a few of you have been in the situation where you are playing a game with your child and instead of your child winning the game, you win and your child gets very distraught and screams “not fair” and then refuses to play the game. Of course, one can view this as a learning opportunity to teach them about sportsmanship and how to lose gracefully but in my own personal experience the child is too angry to even listen.

That is why I have become a huge fan of cooperative games, where there is no winner and kids and parents get to work together as a team. A cooperative game eliminates the stressful experience of competitive games. Instead it works on team building skills and teaching the child to “cooperate”.

Feed the Woozle2One our favorite cooperative games is Feed the Woozle created by Peaceable Kingdom.  Feed the Woozle is geared towards children of the ages 3-6 and comes with instructions for 3 different game levels. The idea behind the game is to feed the 12 silly snacks to the Woozle. Levels 2 and 3 have the kids feeding the tokens with the spoon while having to do the selected action that the spin-master has spun on the spinner, for example one may have to feed 2 silly tokens while doing the hula dance or walking backwards towards the Woozle’s mouth (level 3 has you blindfolded while doing this).

My daughter loves this game and it has become her most requested game that we play. She likes to look at each silly snack and choose her favorite ones like fried sock and moldy macaroni. Besides working together to feed the Woozle his 12 snacks we also work together by guiding each other when we have our eyes closed. When a snack drops on the ground she laughs instead of getting upset because there is no pressure for her to win.

The game builds and strengthens their fine and gross motor skills by having them balance the tokens on the spoon while having to do the selected action. Besides spending quality time with your child, parents benefit by not having to be concerned that your child will become distressed that they didn’t win. Peaceable Kingdom has a wonderful selection of award-winning cooperative board games to choose from and as the say “Play together, not against each other”!

You can purchase Feed the Woozle ($19.99) and other Peaceable Kingdom games at Amazon.  Peaceable Kingdom is giving away Feed the Woozle to one lucky reader! Enter below.

It only took Jordan Brand nearly the full NBA season to release a pair of Air Jordan XXX1s in honor of the Triple Double king Russell Westbrook. However, there’s a twist; this release reflect the hybrid model that Russell’s been wearing throughout his insanely productive season as it features an Air Jordan XXX1 upper with the cushioning of the Air Jordan XXX. This “black cat”? PE blends a classic OKC colorway with elephant print on the heel and his personal logos on the tongue and the outsole of the shoes. The shoes are expected to drop on April during the Playoffs at cheap jordans china site http://www.alijordan.com.

I’m impressed, I have to say. Really not often do I encounter a weblog that’s each educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you might have hit the nail on the head. Your thought is outstanding; the issue is something that not sufficient individuals are speaking intelligently about. I am very joyful that I stumbled across this in my seek for one thing relating to this.

Hmm it looks like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any points for newbie blog writers? I’d definitely appreciate it.
