go skin deep {Somme Institute}

Somme Institute, you beautiful company, thank you.  I am obsessive with my skin, particularly on my face and neck.  I have always wanted to start early with age-defying, skin enhancing products.  Being so interested in skin, you can probably imagine the amount of products I have tried.  Some have partially held up their end of the bargain, most have failed miserably.  It seemed to me that no skincare line excelled in all areas, so I ended up with a hodgepodge of brands in my daily routine.  This was okay with me, but I wondered if a line existed, somewhere out there, that could meet all of my needs.  I was relatively happy with the regimen I had carefully constructed, but it wasn’t perfect.  My skin was staying relatively clear, and all products seemed to be doing a good job.  But why settle for good when there is excellence?

So I started my search via the trusty Google, browsing around, making notes.  Later that week, I was in my salon of choice in Los Angeles, very high end, when I first heard of Somme Institute.  A lady who performs facials and skin treatments there suggested the line to me.  I figured she definitely knew her stuff and immediately went online to find the product line.  I did some research on their site and was pretty impressed with what I saw.   Somme Institute assembled a team in 1994, including leading research and practicing dermatologists.  They were all frustrated by the existing products on the market as none of them backed up their claims.  It has been known for some time now that particular vitamins intensely benefit skin.  The problem was no one had figured out the technology to get the vitamins to penetrate the skin.
The clinical research began, going back to the basics to figure out what ingredients work, and which ones don’t.  Seven years later, Somme Institute discovered and developed a propriety technology called Molecular Dispersion Technology (MDT5).  “MDT5 is a molecular compound of 5 highly engineered vitamins (A, B3, B5, C & E) attached to specific proteins built to our specifications that target skin cell receptors, allowing these vitamins to go deep within the skin in their active forms at high concentrations.  Once in the skin, these MDT5 active vitamins treat all skin types and most skin conditions.”  Well, there you have it.

The list of benefits may seem unrealistic, and I was skeptical at first.  But once I was into my routine, I no longer doubted.  These products will basically improve your skin in every way, guaranteed.  Whatever your skin issue is, it will help, if not completely fix.  Have any of these issues: fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, sun damage, discoloration, acne, or rosacea?  Or maybe, like me, you just want to improve your skin’s overall appearance (tone, texture, clarity).  Simple.  Use Somme Institute’s 5-step regimen:

  1. Nourishing Cleanser: A non-foaming cleanser containing their highly-engineered vitamin complex, MDT5. It deep cleans skin without irritation or over-drying; and dissolves dirt and oils without clogging pores.
  2. Transport: Soft cotton pads infused with MDT5 and AHA to exfoliate dead cells on the skin’s surface, unclogging blocked pores while delivering highly-engineered vitamins thus improving resiliency, hydration and encouraging cell renewal.
  3. Serum: A serum that combines a potent, stabilized form of Vitamin C along with a high concentration of MDT5 to strengthen skin elasticity and smooth the appearance of fine lines.
  4. A-Bomb: This lightweight cream, containing MDT5 and high levels of Vitamins A & E, helps soften fine lines and wrinkles while targeting problem areas.
  5. Double-Defense: This lightweight, water-resistant lotion with SPF 30+ contains MDT5 and Parsol 1789, helps to protect your skin from premature aging while locking in vital moisture.

I know you’re all wondering what I experienced with the 5-step regimen.  I mean, it’s why you read these reviews, right?  The first obvious benefits were the look and feel of my skin.  A luminescence came to my skin giving it a glow, but not an oily shine, creating a very healthy and clean sheen.  My skin also was supremely smooth.  Lately, I have had  issues with the delicate skin under my eyes.  It was very dry and red (irritated).  Somme’s nourishing products totally took care of this problem quickly.  I had a couple breakouts immediately after starting the products, the big scary kind I never have.  They went away very fast (day or two).  I took this to mean the products had pulled out any gunk from my skin and gotten rid of it, while efficiently treating the blemish itself.   Further into the regimen (about 10 days of am/pm treatments) I noticed all stubborn tiny breakouts on my forehead/hairline (I think from hair products) had disappeared completely, leaving smooth skin behind.  No product has ever been able to clear them before.  I was shocked.  I also noticed my skin tone evening out,  getting rid of any redness I had on my cheeks, and my pores around my nose/cheek shrinking.  I can honestly say I have no qualms with my skin now and am loving the improvements.  I know if Somme made this big of a visible difference, the non-visible aspects of my skin must have also greatly improved.  I have already recommended these products to my loved ones, and now I recommend them to you.  You will not be disappointed.
