{DIY} decorating with maps

The idea and photo is from Bombus, a seller on etsy. They customize one location of your choice, hand cut and glazed onto textured watercolor paper. I love the idea, not really loving the price of $540. So I think I’m going to make my own, but change it up a little.

Rather than just having sections from one place. I think I’m going to buy a book of maps and cut out the cities that my daughter has traveled to. We’ll hang it in her bathroom or somewhere that will be fun for people to look at. She’ll be able to see all the different places she’s visited. Memories will remain at hand much longer. Plus, it’s a colorful, modern piece of art!

How would you change up this piece of art to make it unique for you and your family?
