I’ve been a really big fan of Esthex toys since the first time I laid my eyes on them four years ago. They are like no other plushies you will find out there. I find them whimsical and captivating. I find them ALMOST on the level of adorableness that would keep them tucked neatly on a shelf.
The very first animal made by Esthex was Sofie. She started as a drawing that Esther, the creator, had made when she was a little girl. Sofie single handedly inspired an entire family of dolls and friendly animals that are made by hand or sewing machine. I guarantee that your hardest decision will be picking your favorite one.
Esthex just released a whole new set of family members for 2013. Blixem the Sheep is so cute and I find myself just as mesmerized over him as my kids. His head has this little sheep hat. I mean, how cute is that?!? While it does come off, he’d be naked on his head if you did remove it! He sports an adorable red handkerchief since he’s from the farm. The red striped legs are so bold that my little 9 month old hand stop from touching all the parts of him. His belly is plush and soft and the string for his hat is fun for her to grab like a tag. Stuffed animals do not occupy the attention span of kids under a year, but that’s what makes this one so unique. He absolutely entertains my little mini me and my six year old has to beg to get a turn with him!
Also new to the family is Rupert the Caterpillar. He’s soft and cushy with velcro loops on either end so that he easily attaches to a car seat or stroller. My baby adores putting tags or strings in her hand and playing with them. So Rupert is one of her favorites because of his dangling feet! I attach him to her stroller and she pulls on his legs or just holds them to feel the texture of the strings.
I have to say that the quality of these toys are exceptional and their attention to detail are like no others. I find myself saying “well that’s mighty clever” with every new one I see. Head over to OOTS! to see the full line of Esthex toys out right now.
One thing you’ll have to do is, to Like OOTS! on Facebook, they are extremely active on their page and not only do they post about interesting topics, but this is the first place they share their new releases, discounts, giveaways and other goodies. So, hurry up and LIKE them!
