black out canopies for crib and car seat {Content&Calm} Giveaway
Nap time. Blessed nap time. Anytime I find a product to enhance and lengthen naps, I jump on it, and the black out options from Content&Calm are the best around. For naps at home, the Cot Canopy, and for naps on the go, the ProtectiShade, will both keep your baby in a shaded place of bliss. Merry Christmas, mom and dad.
The Cot Canopy Breeze is the lightweight version of the original award-winning Cot Canopy. A portable canopy for cribs at home or on the go, this blackout shade provides a shaded space for long, long naps. Create an ideal world of darkness for your little one at any time of the day, but allow for ample airflow with the Cot Canopy Breeze.
I remember with my first baby we had black out curtains, which in the early days were drawn most of the time. These guys really took their job seriously and made the nursery pitch black, which was great for the baby but not so much mom and dad. Many a stubbed toe occurred in there. With the Cot Canopy Breeze ($93) there is no need to black out entire rooms because you can fully encompass the crib. This is great for babies sharing mom’s room or a bedroom with other kids. It is also beneficial to keep out insects or cats.
The Breeze comes in a travel bag, and since it is so lightweight, you can take it anywhere. I haven’t put this theory to test yet, but I am imagining the Cot Canopy Breeze set up this coming year as we venture out camping with our new little one. It fits nicely over travel beds so camping, hotel rooms, wherever you are, it can go, creating darkness in uncontrollable environments. And like I mentioned before, it keeps insects at bay, so wonderful in the great outdoors.
The canopy is a black mesh and it hangs from a hook system that clamps onto the railing of your crib. Pretty easy to set up and take down, the Cot Canopy Breeze is an option for anyone. The design allows for adjustable head room, meaning your older crib-dwellers can still comfortably use the Breeze…it even works for your converted toddler bed. As the parent, you can peek in through the large zippered window that runs along a side.
Since we are on the topic of shade, Content&Calm offers a 3-in-1 Protectishade ($62) for your essentials, car seat and stroller. It not only offers 360 degree shade from the sun but also SPF 50+ protection. So baby can wear shorts and have their lap protected from the sun as well. The canopy clips on easily and has an attached mesh that drops down to fully cover the seats. This works for most standard strollers and car seats, including convertible car seats and boosters.
Before I had kids I swore up and down I would never have one of those hideous sun shades on the car window. I’m happy to report, I stuck with that promise. With the ProtectiShade, you can keep baby completely blocked and shaded without the tacky pull shade (that doesn’t cover all the sun’s angles anyway). That in itself makes the product worth purchasing.
Outside of the car there is much reason to utilize the Protectishade. Perfect for those strolls around town running errands or shopping, the ProtectiShade can be used three ways: canopy, canopy and drop down mesh, or simply just the mesh. I really like using just the mesh with a stroller because it is fast, easy to do and very efficient. It can be quickly tied onto the push handles and you’re ready to go. Love.
One ProtectiShade transforms into all of this:
Here comes the exciting part, Content&Calm is graciously giving away a Cot Canopy Breeze AND a ProtectiShade, a $155 value!
