Summer heat is driving us all to the pools. Keep baby sun-safe and eco-friendly with this collection of swimwear from i play, sent for review. No need to bring yet more disposables into the equation, cloth swim diapers from i play. do an astounding job!
My 5 month old just recently experienced his first dip in the pool. There was quite a bit of trepidation in the beginning, especially once his bottom was submerged. After a little acclimation and a lot of facial encouragement from mom and dad (smile face, surprised face, repeat) he was relaxing in his pool float. He actually became so relaxed, he fell asleep! I feel ya baby boy.
loving pool life
We live in the desert and we spend a lot of time in the pool, like all year long, so disposable swim diapers are not a great option for us. Too much waste! Cloth swim diapers are eco-friendly and the most inexpensive way to go. My favorites are absolutely those found at i play. Well, obviously because they are the original swim diaper manufacturer with over 18 years of experience.
The i play. Ultimate Swim Diapers feature a waterproof outer layer, an extra-absorbent inner layer and a wick-away lining next to baby’s skin. The leg gussets fit snug but comfortably. It is pretty important they fit well in order to keep solids inside the diaper. All other pool guests will be thankful. I am quite amazed that these prevent leakage so well yet leave no red marks on baby thighs (rolls and all).
baby butt with a tiki hut
To coordinate with the swim diapers, i play. also has arguably the best sun hat. The i play Flap Hats are just standard issue for babies in the summertime. With a wide brim and a long neck flap, this hat will shade all of baby’s sensitive head, face and neck. It also features a tie under the chin. You’ll notice the hat is not tied on my son, though. He seems to not like that feature and pulls on it until it unties. fair enough. The hat stays on perfectly fine without being tied.
Of course, no swim outfit is complete without a rashguard. UPF 50+, this comfy swimwear piece offers excellent sun protection both in and out of the water. It is made from a stretchy water-friendly nylon/lycra and fits absolutely perfectly. We’ll be using the rashguard in the pool, at the beach and just around the backyard on sunny days.
the whole ensamble
For water-loving babies i play. has the whole wardrobe, all mix-n-match coordinating. I know I’ll be ordering more of all three items featured in this review. Find i play swimwear online at awesome prices.
