Where do I even begin. When it comes to products that we try and they become life changing, it almost becomes hard to put the changes into words. I’ve tried other cleansing brushes and they all annoyed me. I’d end up with water spraying all over me, the mirror and anything else within 3 feet of me. They would stop working and would only start again once I gave it a few good whacks. Needless to say I was hesitant at first to try Clarisonic’s Classic skin cleansing system. If you ever looked closely at my skin, i’m notoriously dry and flaky. I’ve tried millions of things, but nothing seems to change it long term. They’re all quick fixes. The Classic skin cleansing system comes in either white, pink or grey and is paired with three of their cleansers. Now I have to tell you about the photo on the right,
because this is what ALWAYS opens my eyes on products. Laboratory studies, a.k.a. proof. In the picture to the right, the photo on the left is a forehead before cleansing at all with makeup on. On the right you see two images. The image on the left where it’s all black is the forehead after being cleaned with Clarisonic and the right is the side of the forehead that was manually cleaned. What a major difference regarding the amount of makeup still left on the skin from the manual wash. The sonic micro-massage loosens and removes dirt, oil and makeup from pores. Plus, get this, when you use it, there’s absolutely no splatter like it’s competitors. This means you don’t have to hide your head in the sink as you clean. The Classic has a few cleansing timers for you to choose from where it sounds a light beep to let you know to move from one area of your face to the next. After a long day at work, I find myself zoning out as I wash my face, so I appreciate the beeps to keep me moving before I crash out.
If you go for a professional facial, I guarantee that they’ll be using a Clarisonic cleansing system on you. I’ve had a lot and they always pull one out, they even use them for micro-dermabrasions! The brush uses sonic frequency of more than 300 movements per second. This cleans, softens and smooths your skin. How do I know this works? Well I started using it and definitely started to notice the puffiness around my eye was gone! After a couple weeks, I think I started to take it for granted. Then out of nowhere, I somehow got conjunctivitis, so I did not use the Opal. After a week and a half of not using the Opal I started to notice how much more tired I looked. To use it, I first apply the Anti-Aging Sea Serum to each eye. You add a tiny drop to the applicator tip and turn on the system you slowly move it around under your eye from your nose to the side of your eye. Once it turns off, I use my ring finger to spread the product over my top lid and up against my bottom lashes, since it’s not safe to use the Opal in those areas. I repeat on the other eye and then the whole process repeats again with my eye cream.
