Ditch the boring bag that comes standard with your pack and play or other portable playyard/crib and grab a quilted Bover Bag. Some portable cribs (pack-n-plays are notorious) do not even come with a bag, making travel very difficult (how ironic). Each Bover Bag is double quilted to be super durable for you heavy yet important contents. It is made to carry most all cribs on the market. To make sure it will fit yours, check out the dimensions first. I managed to easily slip it around my Joovy Room2, which is on the bigger side, so I imagine most will comply.
Because my portable crib comes with important rods and fitted sheets, the large outside pocket was a Godsend. Very smart to put an exterior pocket for the extras. Another necessary feature is the heavy duty adjustable shoulder strap, which leaves you with two free hands. When it comes to being a parent, having even one hand free is a rare occurrence. You have six options in fabric to match your style–or diaper bag. I chose Colleen to match my current favorite bag and am thrilled with how it looks in person. The quality was apparent as I checked all seems for sturdiness. The stitching is perfect, even around the open end drawstring. The drawstring feature is great, forming to various length portable yards.
After thoroughly testing the Bover Bag for its original purpose, I got to thinking about the other uses it could have. It is loose form, so you could really just use it as you would use a duffel bag. It would be great for travel when you need a bag to carry loose toys, extra linens or towels. While at home, why not put it to use as general storage? I’m thinking of stuffing mine with my daughter’s ridiculous amount of plush toys that she doesn’t touch these days. Since the bag is machine washable, it is totally ready for the beach, the dirty park, anywhere. Another great multi-tasker!
