Flight Song

It’s not very often that my husband and I put the kids down and make a point to enjoy some alone time. Now that our littlest is nearing the age of two, we definitely venture out on dates more often, but it can still be difficult to get in our very necessary time together. My hubby’s birthday was last week, so we took advantage of that moment by putting the kids to bed and opening a bottle of Brancott Estate’s “Flight Song,” Pinot Grigio. We poured two glasses and headed outside to enjoy the perfect night, a sky full of stars and good conversation. I truly knew nothing about wine before I met him, 15 years ago. Now, most of our friends and even my husband’s sister works in the industry. While the world around us is educated in the world of wines, we still remain novices. I do know that I love a nice clean taste, not too dry and not too sweet. The “Flight Song” wines are definitely full of crisp flavor and I can only imagine that pairing them with the right cheese would only enhance the glass.

Brancott Estate “Flight Song” is created by using grapes harvested earlier in the season when their sugar levels are naturally lower.  This process results in a complex, full-flavored wine that is naturally 20% lighter in calories than a typical New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio. What does this mean? Well for me, it means that I don’t need to feel as guilty for rewarding myself with a glass of wine after working out all week. In fact, a 5 oz. serving of the Pinot Grigio contains only 87 calories! The “Flight Song” line includes a premium Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and a Marlborough Pinot Grigio, both of which retail for $14.99, but truly have full flavor.

Brancott Estates “Flight Song” Pinot has a citrusy undertone with a slight floral hint. In fact, I was surprised to learn that inside this gem is peach, nashi pear, guava and sweet lemon. Absolutely refreshing! The Sauvignon Blanc has hints of grapefruit, passion fruit, sweet snow pea and lemon.

Brancott Estate has been in the wine business since 1934. This New Zealand winery picks the finest grapes to bring the public. The wines continue to be judged among the best in shows the all over the world. For more information on these delicious treats, head over to Brancott Estate. Great post and insights. However, if the title says ‘The Future of Social Media’, the survey respondents should include an even percentage of small, medium and large businesses. 55% of respondents working at businesses with 1-10 employees seems a bit biased. As such, the title should probably be ‘The Future of Social Media for Small Businesses’.

Wow, those are definitely some interesting stats. It’s certainly true social media has an enormous impact these days, and so, harnessed correctly, marketing with those can be extremely effective. The giants obviously have a significant impact, but even smaller channels — for example, other video sites besides YouTube like Vimeo and AdWido — can have a great impact. Every bit counts, after all, and those extra bits are free in this online world.
