new book releases for your little valentines {HarperCollins}

an awesome book of loveAn Awesome Book of Love

There are so many different kinds of love – the way you love your husband or wife, the way you love your child, the way you love your parents – and Dallas Clayton knows just how to describe them all. This book is the perfect gift for Valentine’s Day, or really just any day you’d like to remind your special someone how much they are loved. This book is a really fun read and starts off with opposites that will make your kids giggle, like if I were a dinosaur and you were a plane, how would we have ever met. The photos alone will make you stop and just stare at them before even reading the page. An extremely creative book that you will love just as much, if not more than your kids.

splat the catSplat the Cat: Funny Valentine

The second lift-the-flap in the Splat the Cat extension program will have readers’ tails twitching with excitement! It’s Valentine’s Day, and Splat wants to give Kitten a special valentine. With multiple fun flaps, reveal hidden Valentine’s Day surprises and find out what Splat gives Kitten! Not many books are geared towards kids of this age and my five-year old was really excited to read this book. I could barely calm her down to let me finish reading before she could turn the page and see what was under the flap on the next page. This is a fun and quick read for you and your little Valentine.

Mia the sweetest valentineMia: the Sweetest Valentine

Love is in the air! It’s Valentine’s Day, and Mia, Anna and Ruby are celebrating with a special party. There are streamers, balloons, valentines, and Mia even finds a box of chocolates that she shares with her friends. It’s the perfect day… until Mia finds out that the box of chocolates was actually a Valentine’s Day present for her mom. Uh-oh! Can Mia make up for the mix-up before the day is over? Mia is a beloved staple in our house and I was excited about this new release. The story is adorable enough, but then your kids will have an entire page of heart and flowery stickers to play with. My daughter read this with me while covering her mouth after finding out the chocolates were for Mia’s mom. She couldn’t wait to see how she and her friends solved the problem.

 when my baby dreamsWhen my Baby Dreams of Fairy Tales

The companion to WHEN MY BABY DREAMS, this new book from blogging sensation Adele Enersen continues the photographic journey through her baby daughter’s dreams-told through favorite fairy tales.

I think we all remember when Adele released her first book. Her blog was a huge hit that everyone I know was following. This new book is equally as creative with the adorable princess baby kissing the frog prince and my personal favorite with her as Mary Poppins.

Fancy NancyFancy Nancy: Nancy Clancy, Secret Admirer

Nancy Clancy and her best friend Bree have love on the brain—after all, they’re learning all about the human heart in science class! Nancy is determined to work out the mysteries of the heart. Doesn’t a touch of romance make everything better? But when Nancy and Bree decide to take love into their own hands, it isn’t quite as easy as they thought it would be. Will love conquer all?

My daughter is starting to get into longer books and Fancy Nancy is absolutely one of her favorites. In fact, she dressed up as Fancy Nancy at school when they had “Dress up as your favorite book character day.” In this book Nancy and Bree concoct a plan to get Nancy’s teenage guitar teacher and Bree’s babysitter together. This is a great read for both girls who adore Fancy Nancy picture books as well as ones reading short chapters.

    Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this website. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s tough to get that “perfect balance” between usability and visual appearance. I must say that you’ve done a superb job with this. Additionally, the blog loads extremely fast for me on Safari. Excellent Blog!
