Confidence. Confidence is such an important characteristic to have. I know I’ve lacked confidence my whole life and often withdrew myself from every situation possible. I would be terrified to even be acknowledged. Once you’ve lost confidence in yourself it’s hard to gain it back. I knew when I had my son I wanted to constantly support him and give him the confidence he needs. At 5 years old, he is one of the most confident, out-going, and friendliest kiddos at every park. He says hello to every kid, ask them their names, and introduces himself. It makes me so proud to hear him confidently walk up to a group of kids and say “Hey kids, my name is Tanner! Wanna play!?!” As he starts kindergarten this fall and the group of kids in his class will be much larger, I want to continue to grow his confidence.
A small way to give any person confidence is to put them in clothing that makes them feel good about themselves. Even as adults, we often feel more confident when he have a great looking outfit on.
