celebrating the big and little firsts {Pampers}

This review was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Pampers. I was provided the featured product free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% mine.

With the end of the year on the horizon, I am reflecting already back on 2013.  I started off the year bringing my baby boy into the world.  He came in and flipped my world upside down and righted it at the same time.  Know what I mean?  I love my husband and first child so intensely that I found it hard to believe there was room for another — yet when I saw his face and he laid on my chest… my heart expanded and my love capacity grew triple-fold.

Since that moment there have been a lot of firsts.  First smile.  First surgery.  First sit.  First “mama.” First tooth. First finger food. First cruise.  First crawl. First stand alone.  Now we are on the edge of first steps… any day now and I have anxiety when I leave his side.  I don’t want to miss them!  I was so blessed to be there for my daughter’s first steps and it was so magical.  Every step she cried but she kept going.  That kind of courage and wonder and excitement and fear all wrapped up in one moment… I cannot wait for Gabriel to experience it as well.

Those are the big firsts though.  Every day is filled with little firsts.  Like last week was Gabriel’s first Thanksgiving.

Certain brands stay with you through all of those firsts, Pampers being one for us.  Pampers Swaddlers are what I refer to as “the good diapers” and while we cloth diaper during the day, Swaddlers are a must for a dry night.  Gabriel is a light sleeper when his diaper is wet.  He cannot stand how it feels — and I don’t blame him!  Pampers Swaddlers do an excellent job at absorbing and holding nighttime wetness.  They are also the softest diapers, which is a must as they lie right next to sensitive baby skin.

When my daughter was little, I had to move on from Swaddlers as she grew.  Now Pampers Swaddlers come in sizes through 5, so, whew, I can keep Gabriel in them for a lot more time!  Swaddlers will see him through so many more firsts, and I’m happy about that.  Join the celebration and enter the 30 days of sweeps on Pampers Facebook, where you can win daily prize bundles, plus the grand prize of free Swaddlers diapers & wipes for one year!  <— mega prize!!  Keep in the know by liking Pampers on Facebook and following on Twitter.

    We are huge pampers lovers here especially since we have 2 in diapers.

    Precious photos! Pampers were our go-to newborn diapers before switching to cloth :)

    Cloth diapers at night sound like a disaster. I’m glad you still like using disposables, and found some to last.
