4 awesome autumn books for kids {Thanksgiving}

Now that it is November, we’re quite dug into fall.  For many of you, autumn is everywhere.  The leaves have changed color and now decorate the ground, big leafy piles ready for little feet to jump into.  Well here in the desert, it still looks the same.  Palm trees don’t change color.  I try a little extra harder this season to get the autumn feel, mostly meaning quick trips up to the high desert for cooler temperatures, evergeen forests and the first flakes of snow.  At home, we craft our own fall leaves (thank you Pinterest) and read up on the characteristics of fall.  Here are 4 awesome reads for the autumn season:

leaf man book reviewFall has come, the wind is gusting, and Leaf Man is on the move. Is he drifting east, over the marsh and ducks and geese? Or is he heading west, above the orchards, prairie meadows, and spotted cows? No one’s quite sure, but this much is certain: A Leaf Man’s got to go where the wind blows.

With illustrations made from actual fall leaves and die-cut pages on every spread that reveal gorgeous landscape vistas, here is a playful, whimsical, and evocative book that celebrates the natural world and the rich imaginative life of children.
