Appaman: clothes with street cred

I can get a bit frustrated with boy’s clothing sometimes. I mean, how many sport themed shirts does my son REALLY need? Yes, that is a huge part of having boys but there is so much more that my boy is all about and I am so happy to have found someone that fills my need for something more.

Appaman is inspired by, and named after, the childhood companion of founder and designer Harald Husum. While growing up in Norway, Husum befriended a corduroy ape named Appaman.Together they traveled the fields and fjords of their native land, sharing many fantastic adventures  Appaman has a unique Scandinavian perspective on Ameripop iconic imagery. Husum finds inspiration everyday on the mean streets of Brooklyn and translates it into his ever-changing palette of vibrant garments.

Appaman has a totally urban and adorable feel to their girl’s, boy’s, and baby lines. There were so many options that I had trouble choosing which one we wanted! From skateboarding to their signature Appaman design, each piece of clothing embodiedc what my little man loves.

Test Tot:

The cotton is so incredibly soft and comfortable! Kade keeps rubbing the shirt when he wears it and saying,”It’s feely Mommy!”  I admit, I snuck a rub in too. He loves watching his older cousins skateboard and tries to be like them in every way, so to him having a shirt with skateboards on it is THE coolest thing. And I love it because its hip, creative, urban but not gimmicky. We are most definately devoted Appaman lovers!
