Puj Baby Tub Review

A few months back, we posted about the lovely Puj Baby Tub, but we had never tried it ourselves. We simply lusted after it from afar. We recently were offered a chance to review the tub first hand for ourselves to tell you all our thoughts on it! The Puj Tub fits in any counter top or pedestal sink.  It’s made from a warm soft foam that’s anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, hypoallergenic and non toxic. One of my biggest pet peeves with my old plastic infant tub I used when my daughter was born was that I always had to have one hand cradling her bottom because she’s slip further down in the sling. It typically required me to always have a second person nearby in case I needed help. The other issue was that the tub was so big that I had to use it in the bathtub, so I was squatting down on the floor, leaning over the edge of the tub holding her with one hand and quickly bathing with the other. It wasn’t a graceful process and I was sure that there had to be a better way. My other issue was how bulky the tub was. Every 015 240x300 Puj Baby Tub Reviewtime my husband or I would take a shower, I’d have to take the huge tub out of the shower and then put it back in when we were ready to bathe her again. It’s a huge eyesore and a nuisance.

So knowing my frustrations with my old infant tub, it was time to put Puj Baby Tub to the test! It fit perfectly into our bathroom sink, so there was no more back aches leaning over the huge tub. My friend’s daughter fit snugly in the tub and there was no need for me to keep one hand on her while washing. Wow, was that a nice change, two free hands! Cleaning was simple and afterwards, I was able to hang the tub right a small towel hook in the bathroom. I have one on the back of the door, so no one can even see that it’s there! At only $39.99, this tub will actually make bathtime enjoyable for both you and baby!  The only downfall I found with the Pub Baby Tub was that it didn’t work in my raised bowl sink. The bowl was too small to fit the tub and it teetered. The tub works in standard sunken bowls and pedestal sinks perfectly. This is my new must-have baby shower gift to all my friends.

Jennifer:When we had our first daughter, like Erin we owned a large cumbersome baby tub. When we had our second daughter and had to move into a smaller house I knew the Puj Tub was something we definitely needed because that old big ugly plastic tub we owned simply did not fit into our new bathroom. Using the Puj Tub has been heavenly! With only a pedestal sink in our bathroom it really came in handy. Bathtime for our newborn was now about bathing her and not about the logistics of bathing a newborn. Bathtime became simple, safe and comfortable for both parties. My daughters little body was always snuggled up safely in the soft foam bowl the Puj Tub creates without a bunch of extra space to slip and slide around.  The holes at the bottom allowed for soapy water to drain out as we scrubbed away all her baby crusties.   Even with the limited space in our bathroom storing the Puj Tub was no big deal, since it can lay flat we just hung it to drip dry inside our shower and it stayed there completely out of the way  until next bathtime.  As our daughter grew she eventually did not fit in our pedestal sink and she could sit up on her own so she had to start taking her baths in the big girl tub.   We still used the Puj Tub but we layed it flat on the bottom of the tub so she could sit on and not slide around.  I don’t know about you but I really don’t like bath tub non slip mats, they seem to trap mildew and soap scum and I would just rather not have that in my tub.  This Puj Tub has really grown with us and to be honest, even if I had a huge bathroom with tons of storage space I would still choose the Puj Tub over any other baby tub out there.

Sarah: I really needed this tub a couple years ago.  Bathing my daughter at home was not such a big deal, the problem was we were never home! My day job kept me traveling and staying in hotels with less than desirable infant-bathing 4347477732 e2fa747bce Puj Baby Tub Reviewoptions.  When my daughter was an infant, we practically LIVED in hotels, staying for weeks at a time.  Hotel tubs are huge jetted monsters, not practical for a newborn.  And so my only other option during this time was the sink.  She slipped and slid around in sink after sink, with the occasional head bonk on the faucet or surrounding granite.  The more I washed her, the slippier it got and the bottom drain was sometimes a real pain.  She had no head rest and appeared very uncomfortable, making bath time a chore for the both of us.  Carrying around those giant infant tubs was definitely not an option for me on the go so I really had no where to turn.

Trying out the Puj Tub was a blast with my friend’s new baby and I am beyond impressed.  Her little babe looked so comfy in the Puj and there was no slipping and sliding.  It was so easy to bathe her child, really cutting down on the time spent hunched over the sink.  The tiny tester was completely relaxed, his head propped up, toy in hand, we washed away with ease.  The seat drained quickly and when we were done, I simply hung it in my shower to dry.  You can barely even notice it hanging in the shower.  This truly is the most convenient infant bather around.  My friend was so impressed she went out and bought her own, as should any mother with a newborn.
