The 13 Nights of Halloween {Halloween Books}

The 13 nights of halloweenWe’re deep into our Halloween books right now and I’m loving every second of it! Every year, I set aside all of our Halloween books and those are what we read about a month or so prior to Halloween. This year, I’m adding some new books to our collection. Especially since we just started using our Halloween Advent Calendar that I posted about. So, a few of the nights, we’ll be reading some of our NEW Halloween books.

First on our list this year is a book called The 13 Nights of Halloween by Guy Vasilovich. Because, on the first night of Halloween, what does your mummy give you? A bright, shiny Skeleton Key, of course! You’ll find that mummy gives gifts from singing skulls to demons dancing and icky eyeballs. Geared towards ages 4 – 8, I have to say that I adore this book. The art is absolutely intriguing and creative. It’s been a long time since I enjoyed a book as much as my daughter.  In fact, I’d adore this character in it’s own Halloween movie.

The 13 Nights of Halloween is the first book for author-illustrator, Guy Vasilovich and I’m hoping for more to follow! We sing a lot in our house and the 12 Days of Christmas is frequently heard around our house. In fact, it’s one of my daughter’s favorite books because of the song. So I’m so anxious to read/sing this one with her on the first day of our Halloween countdown.

Available through Harper Collins, which provides links to several retailers. This book was just released, so be one of the first ones to add it to your collection, I promise it will not disappoint!
